Unfortunately I think he can't afford to spend 200$ on his bankroll is 58$
Well this is not a super expensive investment so I'll think about it in the future. I could deposit more to increase BR but I choose not to. I don't way to play at higher limits than I should. If I don't feel comfortable playing the 1$ spins I don't see the interest of deposit 300 BI. I see it more like a possible loss.
For now I will keep playing at 1$ monotabling. I'll go down when I reach 40$ as I planned it in the first time. During my 500ish games on 0.25$ I really felt I had an edge on most opponents so I think 160 BI will be way more than necessary. Also I still have 60$ deposit bonus to grind + Rakeback that covers most of my small losses for now. This bonus is another reason for me to play 1$ because it has an expiration date and with my slow volume, I won't be able to grind it with 0.25$s
Ty IvicaIliev I'll look into what you said. Most of those softwares have trial versions or free limited versions
2 short sessions yesterday evening. I am getting more confident again.

Today instead of playing I will review those sessions vs the big losing ones and try to see what I did wrong during those 150 awful games.
I finally dropped to 40$ and went down limit to play 0.25$ spins again. I'll play those until I have 150 or 200$. Won't make the same mistake again.
This was quite tough mentally. Being decently winning on 0.25$ and not being able to keep cev above 35 on 500+ 1$ games as very frustrating. I didn't think I'd experience noticeable skill difference before playing 7$ or 15$ but I was wrong.
Here are the 0.25$ games I played this week 2 tabling. Ev dropped a bit during the last 40 games, before that I was around 85/90 cev.
Since I find these games pretty easy and don't really have tough decisions (play 90% of the time in value) I'll probably try 3 tabling a bit this week end to achieve a bigger volume. I did one 3 tabling 45mn session during the week and it was really ok. Winrate was the same as usual but it was a bit harder to keep 100% focus.

Quick update after 3 sessions today. First 20 games I was mono tabling, then for the 2 other sessions I was 3 tabling and I am very happy with the results. I will continue to 3 table at this stake.

I ran pretty good on the multipliers tho. Day started with a x10 loss on a 70/30. I pushed KQs 10bb deep bvb and BB called K8o and flopped the 8. Still happy with my play. Then during my last session I hit my second x25 ever and won it pretty easily. I linked the replayer but unfortunately it is reversed so if you're interested in watching it you'll need to watch the last hand first and then go back to the start.

Weekly results :
I gained confidence back as well as some $$. Last 3 or 4 days I started 3 tabling and had even better results than when 2 tabling. I don't take any conclusion since the sample is quite small but playing quicker may avoid me to level myself in some spots. I am very happy with the volume I did (50+ spins/day) as well as the results (I was aiming at 80+ cev/tourney)

Next week goal :
500 Spin & Go (.25$) and 80+ cev/tourney
2 bonus hands for you folks !

Hehe yes ! Lucky me !
And you know what? I hit another x25 today and won it once again
For the goals of course I try to set them high even if I have very very limited experience and knowledge because the field is very weak, but obviously if I miss and make let's say 70 cev I won't be too much disappointed. I think I'll not make it thi week since I have friends from Paris visiting me here in Montreal and between touring and partying, not much time left to grind. Next week, family coming to see me so even less (maybe 0) grind.
Quick session today. Quite bad EV wise but it seems like I encountered a lot of setup pre/post (maybe I only say that to myself not to feel bad about this session but during shortstack shove/fold plays I've been called by a ton of better Ax, better pockets etc..) and by looking at cev from every tournament one by one I realized that you can get terrible cev by making the somewhat right play. Maybe you guys will help me understand that since I do understand the stats but do not understand totally how to read them and what I should think about the results.
Let's say for example both me and vilain in HU have 750 chips and big blind is 100. I'm the small blind and open push 66. I can't make a bad move doing that. Either folding, limping (limp trap could be good ofc we want to go all in) or min raise would be terrible if vilain doesn't shove. But vilain calls the all in and shows 88. I have only 20%, I lose the hand, the game, and tracker show very bad cev even though I made a decent play.
Anyway the session was bad EV wise but I ran pretty good on the multipliers (and we know that's important in spin & go
) and even won yet another 25x. Second time on 1100 x 0.25$ games and third time in total (1 25x hit on 500ish 1$ games so it makes 3 on 2K : 1 more than expected). 3/3 won and 3/3 with 500+ cev per tournament. 90%+ ROI on this session so life's good. Maybe I'll have 150x1$ buy ins quicker than I thought (10$ rakeback and 10$ first deposit bonus incoming very very soon)

Here you can watch and enjoy (if you'd like to do so) my 25x win and this time in video and in the right order.
My comments / thinking process during this game :
(I stopped the session 3 or 4 games after that so I still totally had it in mind)
Spoiler
I decided to play very agressive especially at the begining since it seems to be the right strategy on high jackpots and it worked the other times. Second hand I open min raise AQo and SB 3bet shoves. Thinking that he would probably do it with any pocket pair, any Ax and probably some broadways that I'd crush, I decide to call and vilain shows QTs. Hit top 2 pair on flop and nothing fancy happens on turn and river. Nice way to start a game.
In HU I decide to try to walk on the guy with my big stack and with the strong image I showed on the first 2 hands (if that makes any sense, I really can't know what they think about at this crazy limit) so I open min raise 100%, iso raise 100% of his limps, I donk flop when I hit it and all of that seem to be the right play since he folds almost every hand. We only saw one flop even though he had 25bb and he did nothing preflop except folding and one 3bet shove. Maybe he starts to tilt a bit. That would be very good for me if I'm right.
Vilain finally decides to min 3bet me for the first time and I hit third pair on a somewhat drawy board (FD + SD) containing only low cards that I don't expect him to have in his min 3bet range. He donk-shoves the flop and I don't believe him at all. He could have strong hand like trips, overpair or top pair top kicker when he hits his Ax' kicker (he would probably value them in a more soft way but I expect really anything coming from 0.25$ players and by anything I mean terrible things, not strategic things) but I decide to call anyway. I'm ready to loose the pot and pray for trips/double pair on turn and river but I'd still have a very decent stack and this is a chance to end the game now.
He shows ace high with no pair, hits nothing turn and my third pair flop even becomes a trips in the river bringing 25 more buy ins in my pocket ♠_drink:
Week 6 results :
73,8% of volume goal reached
88,7% of cEV goal reached

I was too ambitious with the volume goal and couldn't reach it due to being very busy with friends. I still made more than last week (310 last week). I didn't reach my cEV goal either. I had it until today and in the very last 50 spin & go session I lost 10 points of chip ev. Results aren't that bad and x25 win definitely made it a decent week money wise with a 25% increase of bankroll.
For next week, I will try to play as much as possible until thursday when my family lands here. I won't set any volume goal but I hope that I will unlock those 10$ rakeback and 10$ deposit bonus pending.
Just wondering how are you calculating evITM %. I was not able to find this stat on Poker Tracker website. I've just started using PokerTracker and straggle a bit with tailoring it to my needs.
Nice blog by the way. I will be following.
Good luck at the tables.
Hey everyone ! Today I decided to come back here and run that blog again. I stopped doing it because I basicly quit the bankroll challenge.
I gave up on the challenge because I decided to join SmartSpin ! I hesitated a lot after SpinLegends told me that they couldn't work with canadian players and one day lurking on twitch I randomly started to watch Cuat69usdSng's stream and he totally convinced me to join them. I do not regret it at all and I am very very happy that SpinLegends did not accept me.
Last time I posted here I was struggling to go from 0.25$ spins at 70 cEV to 1$ spins where I lost 20 BI in first days. Now I'm playing 5 expressos on winamax at 90+ cEV.
Here are my results at every stake since the beginning of my SmartSpin journey :

Hope to manage to reach 10s before the end of the month ! My objective is to break the 250 EV Buy-ins with over 100 cEV on 5€ before end of september !

Those are custom stats you can download from PT4 website ! Just type spin in search bar and you'll find chipsEV/game, evROI, evITM, multipliers etc.. Sorry for the delay
Hey man would you say the €1 Winamax spins are softer on average than the $0.25 spins on stars?

Quite similar ! In fact I felt almost no difference from 0.25$ on stars to 10€ stake on winamax wich I played already 500 games or so. Obviously, the higher you go, the less preflop spazz you'll encounter (but still there are a ton on 10€) and obviously few regs but most of them can be considered regfish and have lots of HUGE leaks. With a solid strategy, making your way up the stakes is simply a matter of time and volume ![]()
Sorry for not updating constantly enough. Now I have a blog on smartspin and one on french pstrategy so it's becoming quite time consuming
