SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♠ T♣

fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, SB calls 1.5 BB, fold

Flop: (5 BB, 2 players) 9♦ Q♣ A♥
SB checks, Hero bets 2.5 BB, SB calls 2.5 BB

Turn: (10 BB, 2 players) 3♥
SB checks, Hero bets 5 BB, SB calls 5 BB

River: (20 BB, 2 players) J♣
SB bets 15.5 BB and is all-in, fold,

The villain is unknown, is it better to pot control ott, given that we are behind against 2pair combos and another bet ott is making the pot size bigger than our stacks? KT,A3,Q9,QJ,A9 - all of those are beating us, can't think of worse hand that shoves the river, that we can call.

I would most likely play the hand the same way with top pair decent kicker against an unknown. The river is for me a clear fold, because I don’t think he will shove with less.

I like check back turn, evaluate river.
This gives villain the chance to bluff, think his Q is good or bet his worse A2,A4-A8 on the river. By going bet, bet we aren't leaving villain enough possibilities to make errors.

River now a clear fold, especially against your taken line.
