Like you said it's June now, time to give what happened in May and before a big middle finger or two and start focusing on what's ahead now :)

Good luck with the June goals sir, looking forward to seeing you start crushing :f_drink:

Oh boy, that doesn´t sound good, bummer! _cry:

The Mental Game of Poker is a good book but it doesn´t work out for me because of my little "mental health issue" _biggrin:, so I decided to take a different approach which could also be good for you (that doesn´t mean you´re mentally ill but if you are tilt-prone this approach can help):

* very conservative BRM
* stop loss limit or move-down-limit (loosing 5 BI --->continue session on lower limit)
* taking a break: not only for a couple of hours but for about 1 day or 2
* move to the lowest limit on a downswing and grind it out there
* smaller sessions but more of them , taking time to cool down after every little session (meditate f.e.)
* keep focussing on the math

hey. first off i have to let you guys know something weird, the why, why i didn't write in the last few days.
From my home PC it tells me since 1.5 weeks "this site can not be reached from your country" o.o
which is weird. at work (same country) it works perfectly ~.~

Tournaments treated me not well in the beginning. in 1$ 180men on stars I cashed 1 out of 20 tournaments for 1.08$ (or something alike). (so 5% itm yey!)

On Partypoker (22c - 1.10$ tournaments) I get into the money more often. the quality of players there is wayyyyyyyy weaker. i have the feeling on stars 180 man there are only hugee nits. being nit is their only real huge leak (most of them).

Yesterday I scored my first good score with 2nd place in 55c tournament on Party. (for a 20$ score)
Tournament was won by a 78/44 guy (huge whale in general). during the 30 hands of headsup he had 100% vpip.
Yet he ran like jesus. he kept calling down with nothing and the river always made him get there, where he always bet 1 bb.
To ease my mind I was going to check up his former results because i expected him to be a huge losing player.
Guess he is on the upswing of his live since may since he has plenty of #1-#3 finishes and is a winning player o.o

In general I bubble quite frequently (way to often for my taste) even tho I make plenty of ICM folds.

Yet there are alot of positive things to mention:
-My mental game is way better. I did not tilt off a single tournament yet. Every mistake I made was due to the fact that I am just on the skill-lvl i am right now :)
-I get more study time. when I start to register for tournaments there is usually only 1 tournament running. so easy time to watch a video + following my tournament. I sometimes get in spots where i miss following the video because there is something going on at the table that takes my focus away.
But after noticing that I can just get back a few minutes in the video. I feel very comfortable learning like this even tho it might be a little -ev at the single table running.
-I get more volume. While i had to stop cashgames after losing a few buyins very frustrated sometimes after only having played way less than 1 hour I automatically get more volume (or at least more playing time) because I am stuck in the still running tournaments.

I just ended the video-series for cashgames yesterday. So from now on I throw in a few Tournament videos. So for the next few weeks/months I might commit more towards them. In my past I always played tournaments and only decided to play cashgames because of the huge time commitment tournaments take.
But with those 4 hour lasting 180 man sngs. and the small playerfield tournaments on Party it is possible to even grind during the week.
The avg. skilllvl in tournaments is just way lower than in cashgames. This should help me to be profitable one day

overall for now (thanks to my big score yesterday!) i am breakeven! as usual

little update.
yesterday I played my 2nd headsup and even tho I think I have a huge edge in headsup games both headsups I had to play so far my oponnents turned on jesus mode and always hit nuts. It was frustrating, yet a good score and the first win will be close.

I also got a 11$ tournament ticket on Pokerstars for asking a question in an AMA that got picked.
played sunday storm with it and mincashed for 21$.

Does anyone have a clue if I can delete tournaments from my tracked statistics on PT4?
I would like to exclude stuff i played. for example the sunday storm. and i also played 2 other tournaments with tickets and dont want them included in my results
(for my monthly recap)

Sounds great so far :f_thumbsup:

Pretty sure you should be able to clear those tournaments from your reports with filters.
And if you want to delete them completely, isn't there an option to just delete them if you go to the report and you right click on the tournament you want to delete? If not I guess another option would be to just delete all the hands from the tournament you want to remove? Of course those last two options would completely remove them from your database which you might not want.

If none of that works I have no clue either...

Big swings in MTTs of course so I guess with the small sample you can't really draw any conclusions, but at least so far break even is better than losing :)

gogogo :f_cool:

gotta try that out tonight :)

well i wouldnt mind if i delete them completely as long as i write down the result so i can add the money to my event-bankroll
but when i grind hard 22c-1$ tournaments and all off a sudden theres a big 11$ drop that doesnt look good! gotta get rid of that shiat

thanks for your answer :)

yeah i know swings are crazy! didnt donk a single tournament yet! all fine!

today:
7am-4:30pm work, 5pm-10:45pm tournaments + 9-10pm working out while playing a final table

finished in 4th with only 1 decent player at the table (since start from final table)
thast just what is going to happen when u run KK vs AA at a final table (asdfkhlasdfhaklsdfhklasdfuckit!!!!!!)
had still ~10 bb left and lost next "flip" a8 vs KQ (KQ folded out bb who showed AT) sad thing is i would have won against AT but not vs KQQQQQQQ (FKKKKKK)

the tournament win is close! at least breakeven on stars while having little winnings on Party!
Rakebackpro, oh wait since i play tournaments I wont ever get rakeback on party because i will never hit 25 points! :(

sad rakebackpro life without rakeback

Being a rakeback pro without rakeback sounds pretty tough but I'm sure you can pull it off :f_cool:

Hey, glad to read that you master the mental game better. Me too by the way. With every bad run you get kind of "tougher". My first bad downswing was a catastrophy, now I just focus on making good +EV decisions.
