Since you should have a lot of hands, can you check filter: Called pps 22-55 SB to play Mw and have a look on winnings? Loads of places are not recommending to play such low pps this way by default, only under certain circumstances only. Dont be a bot, poker is more alive game than you think.

I was the BTN. When UTG opens and someone calls, I have 55-22 in my calling range. Not sure is it profitable in general, but in my database the EV bb/100 is 215,56, but in just 36 hands. The ranges are developed based on w34z3l's newest ranges and two sessions with a mid-stakes player. They both think 55-22 should be a call in this situation in general. As postflop is concerned, I believe it should be fine to stack off on such a board vs that guy (most likely a recreational with 70 bb's). He could have alot of overpairs, some top pairs, some flushdraws, some OESD's and maybe some gutshots with Ax. From the hands that beats me, he has 55 and some A4s (I don't lose vs 88 OTF). I like my play there tbh.

Sure, why not:

Spoiler

The graph is from PokerStars, NL25 and NL50, but I'm playing on another site also, so here is the graph of my total earnings in USD for this year:

Could have been better... Which stakes do you play?

I do not play poker, i play it for fun when i have time. :) So i am a rec player. But i have been in poker for quite long time and seen those graphs everywhere from breakeven players. TBH they all are totally the same Everyone is losing on NONSD line as much as winning on SD line. Some of those players blame limits they play which apparently is not true Because Winnings regs have the same SD line as yours (roughly), but NONSD line is in half better than yours and here you go you got decent reg winnings and do you know why it is like that? I guess not. It is very simple - SD line will be the same for all regs because standard stack off hands will repeat again and again. What differs is NONSD line. :) I might give you some interesting material about postflop lines which is worth to have a look but not to use straight in practice and think this is how poker should be played. Just PM me and i might give you some fresh stuff for free ;)

Cool, friend request sent!

My NonSD winrate for those hands is -12 bb/100, which is bad. On the bright side, it used to be alot worse in the past, always at least -15 bb/100. My biggest problem atm is folding too much vs flop and turn cbets, along with a bunch of small problems probably (like check/folding too much when skipping a flop cbet etc.). The bottom line is - I don't construct my postflop ranges properly. I probably miss some good preflop spots to increase my red line here and there, too.

Champions League final today with 4 Croatian players involved! Something that never happened before and who knows if it ever will with the nation of just 4,5 milion people. :appl: Two Croatians will win the trophy tonight, that's for sure! :profit: Good luck to all of them, especially Mandžukić and Modrić who will most likely be in starting squads! :gl:

And this one is funny: :mdr:

Isn't Pjaca injured though? So technically it could be just one that wins

It's pretty cool though, there's actually a lot of good Croatian players out there right now. Kovacic and Pjaca maybe aren't starting 11 players but can still get sooo much better. And guys like Modric, Perisic, Mandzukic and Rakitic are of course still amazing. Then you even have guys like Kramaric, Lovren and Brozovic who are maybe a little underappreciated (maybe Brozovic not so much) by non-Croatians. Not sure what the opinion on those players is by actual Croatians.

It's a shame they haven't really gotten too many really good results ECs/WCs. I feel like Croatia often has a really good squad with quality players but for some reason they don't really live up to the expectations. Especially Euro 2016 and the 2014 WC I had expected a bit more from them.

Wait what was this thread about again?

True, Pjaca is injured atm, but he was participating in the Champions League for Juventus this season and is a member of the team, so we count him as one of 4 Croatians in the final. ;)

I agree, we have alot of talented players at the moment and it's unfortunate we didn't have a better result on a big competition lately. But you know, it's not all about good players and good squad. Today many things have to klick for a good result and you need to have a bit of luck. Just take a Portugal and EURO 2016 as an example. Maybe Russia 2018 will be ours! _thumbsup:

Yeah, Kramarić is an excellent player, Brozović and Lovren also. We also have young talented players like Vrsaljko (Atletico Madrid), Jedvaj (Bayer Leverkusen), Pašalić (Milan), Rog (Napoli)... There are also many young talented players in Dinamo Zagreb, which probably has one of the best football schools in the world. Other clubs, like Rijeka, Osijek and Hajduk, also have their very good schools. Always when I start to think that we have a last good generation, some new excellent players appear. That's really insane for such a small country. 8-o Just an example, some days ago we were playing a friendly match vs Mexico. Since our best players couldn't play, we played with guys that are even not the best in our 1st division (since Dinamo and Rijeka couldn't let their players to play) and we won 2:1.

We will make this blog to be about football, not a problem. :f_drink:

Hi!

I don't have any big goals in poker since I have a regular full-time job with a decent income and it's something I love to do and I've spent years to get eduaction for. So poker as a main source of income is definitelly not for me. I'm also not a kind of person for that. Would definitely feel too much pressure + you never know what will happen with poker legaly. For example, here in Croatia it's still a grey area. What I want from poker is to have an interesting hobby which will bring me a nice side income, like 300-1000 USD per month with max 15-20 hours a week spent. I think I can achieve that at NL50 so NL50 is my ultimate goal and if I achieve that, maybe I try NL100 at some point, which would probably be a maximum for me. Actually, I'm very close to my goals and I allready had a couple of NL50 shots this year.

I know 1 hour a day is nothing, but there are times when I don't have any time for poker or I just don't feel like playing for whatever reason. I'm also married. :f_biggrin:

Thank you! Oh, the blog title is because I set myself a goal to hit 4k bankroll by the end of this year or quit poker, but good you mentioned it because I'm thinking for a while to abandon that because of several reasons:
1) I've had a big downswing recently so it became quite possible that I don't hit 4k and I like poker too much to quit :f_biggrin:
2) Because of (1) I realised that with my volume I depend alot on a variance and it can easily be a crucial reason of hitting or not hitting the goal
3) I will probably have less time for poker this summer than I usually do because will be adopting a house
4) I think I can achieve my goals in poker even if I don't hit those 4k by the end of the year
5) I'm not an easy quitter

So I will change the title to: "4k by the end of 2017?"

Thank you for stopping by and wish you all the best! I've watched some of your vlogs and I like them! You are a very nice guy dedicated to your goals. Just keep pushing! :f_thumbsup:

Here is the report for Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge:

Starting bankroll: 1.061,04 USD
Targeting bankroll: 5.305,20 USD
Last week bankroll: 2.177,24 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------
Week 124
Hands: 5.689
Profit: 218,37 USD
Rakeback: 33,00 USD
Exchange Rate Difference: 44,84
Week 124 profit: 296,21 USD
Week 124 progress: 13,60%
Current bankroll: 2.473,45 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------
Overall profit: 1.412,41 USD
Overall progress: 33,28%

Finally there is no red in this report... :f_love: This week I decided to give another chance to this Croatian poker site and play NL100 there in HRK (like NL16 in USD). In 18k hands my winrate there for now is 13 bb/100 and even if I would have like 5 bb/100 long term, it could give me a satisfactory income at this stage. Last time when I played there I had a big downswing at higher limits (NL40 to NL60 in USD), so I will go to higher limits only when I feel ready to take another shot.

I approve :f_biggrin:

Agree about the Zagreb youth academy. Reminds me a lot of the Ajax youth academy as Ajax also works with a lot of their own talents and always tries to play with a few in their first team.

Also shout out to Mandzukic for that goal in the CL final. Absolutely stunning, just a shame it wasn't enough to give Juventus the win...

And good to see some positive numbers here. Fingers crossed this is a sign of more to come :f_drink:

Yeah, Ajax has always had great young players and produced stars, maybe last years not as much as before, but this year they shown that they have a great generation again which was able to go to the final of Europa League.

I'm glad for Mandžukić because he is such a beast, but often underestimated in previous clubs. He scored for Bayern in the final of Champions League but they sold him to Atletico Madrid soon after and guess what - he went to CL final with Atletico Madrid. Then Atletico sold him to Juventus and guess what - Juventus was in CL final. I remember when he was in Dinamo Zagreb, his style was very similar to Thiery Henry. He changed his style alot afterwards, but now he is showing that can play on a high-level on many positions. I think he would even be a good defender. He has something that alot of players don't have these days - he plays with a heart.

Thank you! :f_pleased:

I've never been there, tbh. All I know is that it's some kind of an elite destination nowadays and the prices are quite higher than in the rest of the country (except Dubrovnik  ). But it's also conisedered as one of 10 most beautiful islands in the world. Croatia is a beautiful small country with alot of history and there are many places worth to visit, but you will see for yourself. :f_thumbsup: Here you can find some more about Hvar.
