Local live tournament fee structures

I would say because it's live you probably still can beat these although it really sucks that has such high rake. Probably would try to avoid the $60 as much as I possibly could 33% rake is absurd.

I am from Wellington, but played in that $60 SkyCity tourney once. It is very soft, and is still my biggest MTT cash ever ($1085 for 2nd). I thought it was $50+$10 when I played there.

I think it is beatable, but not for much. The $2/$4 cash game on the other hand, you could make a very good living playing there imo.

I've played the $2/$4 cash game... but the rake is 10%! I heard it's capped, but what is it capped at?

I think at $10 or $15. Which is actually quite good (as far as NZ goes) given that its a $2/$4 game.

i would not mind the 10% rake if it was capped at 3BB.

It makes game faster because dealers dont have to work out the rake and the players will pay less rake because of the cap

45+15 is ridiculous and I would never play such a tournament. The fee makes no sense and it should be quite hard to beat (although you most likely will beat it for a few % because it's a low buyin live tournament).

170+30 is still quite high but I guess it's alright. Not sure I would be willing to play at a casino that rips people off in other tournaments though.
