So now what shall we do here? take a flip? or "fold and wait for a spot where we put the Money first in?

It’s a weird shove from the UTG player with his almost 37bb stack. I expect he can also shoves hands like AQ and maybe AJ and then it’s profitable for sure to stack off with AK with the big antes in play and most likely a top heavy paid out structure at the final table. I don’t think he would shove hands like QQ+ like this as well and that makes a call with AK even more profitable.

Cheers,

Shove is strange, think its a call also, I've seen AA and KK being played like this but think its more likily AQ like hands making it a call.

Poker seams to boil down to spots like this and to win tournaments you need a few luckly calls.

Hey all, utg shoves with 5 player to act and 2 of them short stack is pretty sure he bet a premium hand in my opinion and I would put him in QQ+, AK, because of that I believe wait a better spot is the best option.
Even do if the utg had with any two pair was a coin flip.
888Bingo888 what was the result?

Best,

QQ+ and AK would be hands I would expect he would raise normal and I wouldn’t put him in his over shoving range, but some players do crazy things when they have premium hands.

SDK1987, I love forum because we can rethink certain dogmas we have in mind. I reviewed in my mind some utg open shoves and rarelly they were with premium hands. Next time I'll keep in mind that!
