How to play AQ from UTG?

Aw man, I hate it when that happens!
Can you avoid it?

Let's say you min-raise and UTG calls, then bets the turn.
You'd probably call.
You might try to bluff the river repping a flush, but he's got you beat.

I don’t think it’s terrible to 3bet/fold AQo in a spot like this pre-flop. This way you have initiative post-flop. The flop seems pretty standard with top pair top kicker.

3bet ...3bet-fold of course. Call is not an option. Seven players behind..Btw your raise on the flop is terrible. Why?

3bet utg mini raise is the best option in my opinion, included to avoid a multiway pot, where TPTK isn't a strong hand. Anyway the shove on flop was odd.

This. Why raise all-in on that flop? I genuinely don't know the logic behind it. What hand that you're beating is going to call you? A flush draw maybe? QKs? JJ and less is probably going to fold.

Unlucky that he hit a set but he's betting into you while you have position and all you have is a pair. Best to just call and assess on each street in my opinion. You'd still have lost chips but you might not have lost them all.

Personally I don't mind the call pre flop. It depends on the table really. 3 betting is fine as well of course but I like to call and see flops, even though you run the risk of others raising behind you.

I was unsure of how to play it preflop and since I had no information about the player I decided just to call, but I realize that it is probably better to 3bet there, when the blinds are high is a 3bet to 72000 chips ok or should it be less/more? I'm a bit unsure about how much to 3bet there.

As for the flop I don't really know why I decided to shove, not any good reason at all, wrong play by me and can't really tell why I did that but it was a mistake.
I think that if I had 3betted preflop the person with the pocket 33s would most likely have folded preflop.

You can't think like that. Results oriented thinking. What if somebody squeeze , you fold, he have KK and you say "Well, saved money, 3bet sucks". 3bet is better, because you have easy decisions. You can call this, only if you don't have 3bet range at all. I mean UTG+1 vs UtG.
5bb 3bet is enough. With any hand. That deep...You can have mixed 3bet range and calling range. Both with monster hands. Also only calling range and only 3bet range. If you don't like those three options, better fold this hand preflop. In this situation.
This is only advice, my opinion. I don't want some "Who are you", like in my community. I can explain deeply why calling with capped range is bad in this early position,If you want to. But probably you already know. You just don't like 3bet-fold with this hand. Understandable...

Definitely a mindset problem. Lets be clear, you definitely know that pushing 40bbs in this spot is bad, so what is the cause of this ? Maybe going deep in the Sunday storm made you too pumped up, try to be relaxed but focused, dont let your emotions go too high or at the same time too low. Deep inside we know and feel what is the right play and end up doing the false one without realizing why. Some players work very hard on the technical side of poker but forget about the mental one, which puts the hard work in the trash.
