With top pair I would bet for sure for value on the flop. You kicker isn’t playing as well and you want to protect your top pair. As played you beat only a random bluff on the river and I don’t think a fish will do that often and I would fold for sure.

Unless MP2 is a maniac, you need to protect your hand on the flop. I think you are putting yourself in an unneccesarily tricky spoty by just check/calling all the way down, espacially with the small bet sizes. Also, stacks are getting relatively short so I wouldn't want to go bluffcatching on the chipleader at this point. Better to pick up a small pot on the flop.

I would bet out flop in order to protect your hand. If Villain calls, proceed carefully! You holding the worst kicker, now you have to find out whether your hand is good enough here or not. Bet about 1/2 pot on the flop and see what happens. Check turn for pot control. See what Villain does and watch his betting size and the time he needs to make his move. Watch Villains stats. Honestly I would have found a nit-fold on the river. Our hand is obviously not good. Villain is betting for value. He wants chips but wants to keep you in the pot as well.

So:
*bet out on flop, protect your hand, see what happens
*proceed carefully, do pot-control
*find a "nit-fold" on big action or bigger bets
