MP: 99 BB
CO: 105.7 BB (VPIP: 20.80, PFR: 14.60, 3Bet Preflop: 2.68, Hands: 281)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♥ K♦

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) T♥ J♣ 9♥
SB bets 4.5 BB, Hero raises to 15 BB, SB calls 10.5 BB

Turn: (36 BB, 2 players) 7♠
SB checks, Hero bets 28 BB, SB calls 28 BB

River: (92 BB, 2 players) 8♥
SB checks, Hero bets 44 BB, SB raises to 140.9 BB and is all-in, fold

SB wins 171.9 BB

The flush hits, but so does the straight. I feel like if i check back i'm missing value from Qx. This hand actually tilted me a little. Was it right to bet the river? Thoughts?

For me is the river a clear value bet with a straight on the board and you are blocking some flushes as well with the Q♥:. It’s too bad he’s shoving and it’s too tough to fold this I think, but I expect he has a flush often here.

Cheers,

Having a blocker would convince me to call here, although you propably just saved yourself some money (not sure about the long run tho)

Just bet/fold imo. Yes it sucks to fold with such a hand but I don't see him raising with anything worse here. Chopping at best unless he can turn stuff like JT into a bluff in which case gg wp to him I suppose (and you don't have that info after 12 hands anyway) :)

i like the line. If the guy can pull that bluff kudos to him but untill you actually know that bet/folding is the best line.

Wow. Sick.
The guy is not bluffing. Just get it out of your mind.
You on the other hand are nutted. And he probably knows it. Folding the nut-straight should be completely fine here. :f_thumbsup:

Hi
On the river, you made a good value bet. After further aggression, you can fold. You will have enough hands to continue, so don’t worry about folding.
Well played!

Bet/fold is best imo.
