Bigger squeeze pre after MP calls, cbet turn at NL2. Ap we're still way underrepped here and for those odds I'd find a call more often than not.

We can raise a bit bigger preflop, we have 2 callers here. The problem with checking here is that we would call a small bet but the larger it becomes, the more we need to win here. I think best to do is to bet around 35-40% OTT and have a protection bet OTR of, say, 10bb max. This way, villain will play more straightforwardly.

We should raise more pre. Like 4.5x of original raise. I would ship it ott, u can easily do it as you bet on the bigger size otf (which is ok imo). As played u should call otr. Villain is aggro and doesnt have enough of jx hands. But definitely better to shove ott than c/c otr.

I know we try not to be results oriented and I know there are ups and downs but every time hands like this come up I'll go on to watch the same guy just HAND the money back over to someone else by calling a shove on the flop with 0% equity. Every single time I get into a hand with these guys they have a MONSTER.

I mean, I have to redeposit again if I want to play on there. Dropping 25 BI's like this @ 2NL. Really, there has never been ONE day I've played on there that there weren't 4 or 5 hands like this. I just can't win enough to keep up with that every session.

First hand I would plan to 3barrel.. Flop bet can be smaller. I see no reason to check the turn. And as played I think you have to call since you underrep your hand.

The second hand:
That turn raise loos strong. As a rule of thumb you should consider folding when facing a turn raise with less than 2 pair. But since that raise is so small, I think you have to call. OTR I would call his shove too.. If he has quads, good for him. Imo well played.

Third hand:
I guess this is not bad. It is not fun to get it in like this with bottom set on a connected board but this is NL2 and sometimes ppl do funny stuff, he can have slowplayed QQ+, 2pair or a draw. And vs straights you have still outs. This is ok.

For hand #2, Google "Baluga theorem". Bet/fold #1, all fine in #3.

Will do. Thanks.

edit: I guess we want to be applying this to sets on wet boards, as well?

With sets we can't follow this theorem as we can redraw to a better hand. We can call a raise. As for the betting pattern, we should bet large when the board is wet and we hit a set. This is, in my view, mostly the reason for betting larger than 75% of the pot (or villain is always super strong and you have the nuts this time)

See, faulty logic and reverse thinking gets me in trouble here. When I hit a big hand I start thinking about getting villain's entire stack and I'm afraid to bet too large to blow him off the hand. I guess that would be a lot better (taking it down on the flop) then getting outdrawn because I gave him odds and then getting stacked myself. I'm working myself into reverse implied odds situations.

That's a good approach indeed. We do not want to give villain good odds. However, I just explained a particular situation. In your case, we may call a small raise but I do not like it too much.
