Meehh had a bad period poker wise, my "transitioning" to PLO, that started out well, but got bad because of tilt and bad mindset.

After PLO I decided to play FLHU 0.25$/0.5$ ZOOM, which started out very well (won like 350BB's in 10K hands), but I experienced some trouble moving up because of the bad traffic at 0.5$/1$.

Last weekend I got so frustrated I played like every kind of poker and lost like 250$, about 25% of my roll.

So now I'm doubting what to do, I'm looking for a "goal" or "challenge" but also doubting if i have to do this again, because I f*cked up every "goal" or "challenge" before.

PLO again it is and my aim is to post a graph after 10K PLO25 ZOOM hands this week

I played some PLO this month again, starting at Tonybet poker (up to 80% rakeback) but almost no traffic :(

Sinds this weekend I started plying PLO25 ZOOM at Pokerstars with a 40BI bankroll, the volume is great and rakeback is like 30% if I am not mistaking.

Most interesting hand of the day was vs a aggro player with high 3bet from the blinds / aggro factor, he turned his draw into a bluff at the river and I called light.

Hey martijnde666,

Nice to see you back here and still playing PLO. How are the players? Are games getting softer or harder.

Cheers :f_drink:

The games are good, especially in the south american timezone I noticed, lot's of loose aggressive players from Brazil :f_drink:
Almost 10K hands played at ZOOM 25 this week, I will post graph later this week.

Nice thing about ZOOM PLO is the nuts over nuts hands, like this one played yesterday (The min-raise was to induce sets / full houses to re-raise)

You don't need hosting sites, you can just drag a photo from your documents directly to the box you're typing in and Pokerstrategy will host it for you.

The question about flop is a bit tricky. Do you want to have balanced range or just try to squeeze as much from opponent with this specific hand?

If the first, then check. If the second, then you have to think how aggressive the opponent is on the flops in 3bet pots.

That board doesn't hit your 3bet range, most of the times the top of your range is overpair+fd. So it's a board that some opponents like to raise, especially if they have As in the hand. In that perspective, a bet can induce a raise.

If opponent doesn't like/know to raise boards that don't hit your range, he is just often folding to your cbet.

With quads the thing is that you don't get 3 streets of value unless it's a setup (against a fullhouse). So you are going to get 1 or 2. If you don't care about the balance, I would bet flop. And then most likely check turn and try to squeeze value on the river.

You're a quads-magnet :)

I like checking those quad ducks. Sure as Kyyberi said you wont have many deuces in your 3betting range, but neither does MP in his opening range. This is why people wont try bluffing such board very often at all unless they're overly aggressive or have some strong draw which is also very hard such low cards, mainly FD can pay your bet.

I would not be balanced here and check (I would just bet this board very often) and hope he has a pocket pair and binks over full-house ott or something. Also it might level him calling you down with KK/QQ, he might pick up straight draw etc.
