Preflop: I decide to just call UTG's 3.5x open with AK in the Small Blind. It conceals the strength of my hand and i usually dislike playing a huge pot OOP if i miss.
Flop: I plan to check/call when i hit top pair on this flop, hoping villain bets a worse ace or a hand like JJ-KK and possibly catch some bluffs if villain was raising light UTG.
Turn: When villain checks back the flop i feel like i have the best hand. So i decide to bet. The 9 changes nothing. When villain raises i think my hand is under repped or villain could be trying to push me off my hand so i call the raise.
River: Villain decides to bet the pot. I didn't like the bet, but at the same time my hand is very concealed and thought maybe we were chopping or villain could be doing this with a worse ace? Sometimes villain has 99 here i guess or checked back a monster on the flop. I do however block a lot of villains value range like AA,AK,AQ so i felt like a call was fine.
Overall: Maybe i could have got away from this hand. Did i play this poorly?
