I would play check/call on the river.
The only worse hands that I can think of calling you here are 9x, lower pocket or maybe Ace high.
He might have been on a spade flush draw, or maybe holding a gutshot which would probably be folded, while he might try to go for a bluff and bet on you checking.
Better hands like K (I agree it would probably raised, but still possible) or a backdoor flush will raise you here. And i guess you'd have to fold on a raise so it's better to just call a bet since you can still be ahead in the case.

mh maciekr is right about the busted draws but i still like a bet more i guess. there are quite some worse hands which will call your bet and the K was a good card for you because it reduces the chances that he has a K in his hand + he will pay you off more lightly because it also reduces the chances that you have a K in your hand. if he raises you gotta call imo because all draws (besides the bdf) busted and the pot is quite big
