Hello everyone,

I would like to see in a report, how often a player folds the BB vs an SB open of different sizes (2bb, 2,5bb, 3bb, 4bb). How do I do that?

Btw: If, to your knowledge, PT4 can't do that, that ist also a helpful answer. I will then have to think about getting a different program.

Thanks!

Hi mazurholdem,

I don't have PT4 but my guess is that it is not possible to set that kind of bet size specific stats in your HUD. At least I think it is not possible in HM2 (I use that). But I think off the tables you can make some kind of combo filters for these situations.

If you want to have a stat in your HUD for different bet sizes I'm really not sure what software can do that. Hand2Note maybe, but that is just a guess.

I hope someone here has better knowledge about this than me :f_thumbsup:

This is possible with the custom stats. $15 for one. If you can't do that. I mean PT4. Everything is possible with PT4...

-if you want to do that in report tab then run new report/all players report.
-in the report stats in the left panel add folds/BBvsSB open - fold by doubleclick in "Available stats" window
-then scroll down in that left panel and choose "More filters"
-click on add filter
-add filter hand details/player position/preflop/position of "first raiser" exactly 9
-add filter action and opportunities/preflop/preflop opportunities/faced steal attempt in BB
-add filter action and opportunities/preflop/preflop actions encountered with sizes/facing steal between (here you need to specify how much need BB to call vs open. so if you want to find out folds vs 2.5x open this value will be between 1.4-1.6)

save and apply filters and you should see all players in report and their fold to SB 2.5x open (to see results vs other open sizes change the last filter accordingly)

have fun at the tables :)

Do you wanna isolate the situations on a player report or on a hand report? If you choose a player report then yeah you def need to create a custom stat for that but if you´re looking to create a hand report just read the post above where @PumaPerez explained very well how to set up the filters to isolate the situation you want.

Btw: If, to your knowledge, PT4 can't-do that, that is also a helpful answer. I will then have to think about getting a different program.

PT4 is fully capable of doing that and many more things, the only downside is that it requires time to learn how to properly do it and not many people are willing to spend the time and rather just pay someone to do it for them.
Actually, this custom stat would be very basic to built, it would only take a couple of hours browsing through PT4 forums and a little piece of expression to duplicate the built-in stat BB vs SB Open - Fold and add the bet sizing expression to it.
I´ve built a lot more complicated custom stats than this, like board texture related ones, multistreet related ones, W$SD ones, among others.

it is not possible to set that kind of bet size specific stats in your HUD.

This is not true, it is surely possible.

At least I think it is not possible in HM2

You´re 100% right

Well HM3 is been on beta testing for more than 18 months now and for what i can see it looks shitty to me (designed wise) and many of the interface looks exactly like PT4 especially the HUD Editor part (only images available). As you recall the 2 companies agree to share the coding and work together in other aspects of the biz i though PT4 was leaving the market but according to many inside sources and PT4 forum mods there will be a PT5 soon enough and to be honest im looking forward for the launch of PT5 than HM2 which it seems its just going to be a copy of PT4.
I just hope they replicate what Hand2Note is doing in regards to the speed improvement.
