For the QQ hand, rather than fish or reg it depends on the type of fish (or reg).
Needless to say if you were to play the best players of the world you couldn't afford to fold QQ ! Just to note it's important to not take the shortcut of thinking "better players don't push light"
All in all versus most players you can't fold, you need to be very sure the guy is a nit preflop to fold, it's worse a mistake to fold often than it is to call often. You could virtually call every time and live with it. At least I can.
But then again I heard girls are nitter :sifflote:

Ugh, why 4bet in the first place? You can actually set-mine and in the most common worst case lose 2 streets.

Btw you have a liiiittle better than than 40% vs AK+QQ+ because the BU 3bet, so hes around 40% likely to have burned an A or K. thats 0.4 less outs :f_biggrin:
Never folding after putting in 25% of our stack vs SB that didnt 4bet! Its your 4bet that got you, you greedy Prim! :f_drink:

But QQ is a monster early in an MTT when you are tired so I get why you decide to push - go big or go home :f_thumbsup:

@Prim: So deep probably would just call the 3bet, 4 betting and getting it in against a 5bet usually not a good idea this deep.

Thank you very much, guys!

You´re right. Why not just call the 3-bet and realize my equity post-flop? Yes, I was too greedy. The thing was: I already had qualified for the Monster Micro phase II tourney, but you can play phase I as many times as you want, the best result counts, so I already had qualified by phase I and went with 65.000 chips into phase II (see suckout-hand with AA above), but I wanted a better result and more chips to enter phase II!! And I had won a sat to enter phase I again.

Yeeeeah, greedy Prim, shame on me. :f_ugly:

@sirilidon: EXACTLY! And that is the reason why this hand is declared as rotten egg! :f_thumbsup:

Sit and crash?

Oookay, iPoker crashed! Could play a couple of SnGs and DONs and then that was it! Boom! Crashed down! So I played my session on PartyPoker, where I won about 80 % of my DONs and could win some 9-max Sngs and take one 2nd place. And then.....PokerTracker crashed!!! And then ...........Prim was on tilt! Fortunately after I had finished my session. :mdr:

I won something but because PT4 crashed, I have a "blooper graph" again! *rolleyes* _evil: I made not a big winning, but at least something. It´s soooo funny how I´m running at the moment: get suck-outs (lost twice with a set, once with QQQ and once with KKK against a gutshot str8 draw), loose against 3 outers BUT: There are some tourneys where my hands hold. And those tournyes I win! So those winnings make up for the "bad run" I have in other SnGs/DONs.

Besides, I played two MTT-sats for the MonsterMicro: PLO8 and NLHE, for the 2.20 € Monster Micro Events but unfortunately couldn´t qualify: was card-dead. Too bad! _frown:

Coffee break update

Fixed my "blooper graph" in PT4 somehow and found out, that PT4 doesn´t take the right game formats when I play on PartyPoker, so my EV-graph is also "blooper" - but I won´t fix this for 2.600 tourneys!!!

Booooooo.....can´t grind today (work to do) _cry:

but the good news are: October 31 and November 1 are official holidays here and I hurry up with my work so that I can take those days off as well. _drink: The Monster Series will still be going on and I will take a lot of time to play MTTs. _evil:_thumbsup:

By the way: Thanks to the Monster Series there is a bunch of new :f_ugly: on PartyPoker. SnGs and DONs got fishy.

Sit and crash reloaded

I don´t know how I would win SnGs and DONs on iPoker: The software crashed 3 times!:rage: But anyway somehow I manged to make nice winnings there. On the other hand, my session on PartyPoker was not so nice today - yeah yeah, the same old song: suck-outs, got rivered and lost against 3-outers, bla bla bla....etc etc..... but could win some 9-max Sngs and get a second place. Running under EV.

But of course the number of suck-outs and such stuff increases - I play WAY (!) more aggressively! And the donkeys call......with hands they shouldn´t .... so once in a while one of them gets lucky. :f_ugly:

Altogether I ran nearly break even (about 1 Euro down) .

Health update

Enjoying to "let my self go" a bit, eating whatever I want .... but I don´t want so much, have not much appetite, I often let half of my meals stand. When I have a lot to do and my days are filled with activities I tend to loose my appetite. I´m just getting the calories I need somehow.... :f_ugly: I didn´t step on the scale. I never do it during the off-season. I was a bit worried because during the past few weeks I felt tired and the reduced hunger could be an early sign of ...******, but my husband feels tired as well and he is healthy so..... it was just a hard training and competition season from which we recover at the moment (less sports and take sports very easy).

This week we take a break from sports and I start feeling much better and fitter ..... :f_thumbsup:

You play with this kind of players and you make money. Keep calm and kick the donkeys. _evil:_evil:_evil:

You´re right, nick! We make money, because of those players and it´s just obvious and normal that sometimes they hit they "magic 1-, 2-, and 3-outers".

But something else: I noticed that I defend my blinds too loose and aggressively. Regs exploit that quickly and trap me. I should be more careful with blind defense. Just noticed that yesterday.

Graphs

Haven´t shown graphs for a long time - who wants to show a graph during a very bad run? But not it´s going up again and the number of losses against 1-, 2-, and 3-outers get smaller and smaller, more and more hands hold.

Even though I run worse on PartyPoker than on iPoker, my graph shows the tendency - up! This is my manually fixed graph on PartyPoker (could get the PT4-crash-"blooper" out).

Nevermind the "c net adjusted" on PartyPoker, PT4 doesn´t take the game formats right and I´m NOT gonna adjust it to 2.500 tourneys. :f_ugly:

Monster Series reloaded -ready for MTT

The Monster Micro Series continue and I will be in today. Won a sat so I will play the 2.20€ Monster Micro 100 K Gtd. phase I and a 1.10 € PKO as well as a sat to get a 5.50 € ticket.

Besides, I will use one of my 1K Series tickets and play the 1K Series tourney on iPoker and "my regular" 1€ 6-max turbo 250€ Gtd.

Hey -- well done!
Yeah, I know it is disappointing, but anytime your complaint is "I didn't win enough" there are a lot worse complaints available.

Best of luck,
VS

Vorpal, you´re right! And Rome wasn´t build in one day _biggrin:. I made HUGE progresses not only pre- and postflop but also in the mental game. During the tourneys I was very much focussed on doing it right. And as I busted out of the Micro Moster phase I (AK < A9s) I was okay with it because I played my best game, my A-poker, which gets better and better. Of course a big cash would be awesome but in poker you mostly need patience, patience, patience.

So what happened yesterday/today early?

1K Series: was cancelled due to technical reasons (surprise, surprsie! See post above "Sit and crash")
50 ct qualifier for the 5.50-Event: card-dead, one bad call, standard-push as shortie with ATo --> ran into AQ
MicroMonster-Series 2.20 phase I:
Tourney I: totally card-dead
Tourney II: card-dead and busto with flopped TPTK with AK vs flushdraw on the flop (jammed flop, got there at the river).
iPoker 1€-6-max turbo 200€ Gtd: totally card-dead, then busted with QQ vs 75s

Micro Monster .1.10 € PKO 1 K Gtd turbo:

Could quickly triple my stack with KK and knock out 2 Villains.

Well and then: 2.5 hours totally card-dead. It was hard to steal because I came to a table with 2 super-aggro-donks jamming about 60 BB all-in on almost every raise pf, besides got tired so I tightened up.

After a long long while without any playable hand I had to jam. I did this 3 times and every time we had a split pot.

My final hand was KTs, defending my blind and jamming into AQo. No help for me from the board and that was it.

I´m happy with my play and the result is fine.

The two 2.20-phase I tourneys were for free because I recieved tickets. I recieved also a 22 € ticket which I will use for the main event. _evil:_biggrin:

Requiem for my hair (non poker related)

Unbelievable but true: I still got a real life. :f_ugly: That´s why I will spend today off the tables: It´s time for friends and some "social life" but before we went to the hairdresser. As my regular readers know, I went from my natural dark auburn reddish-brown hair color to fully "ginger" (no insult). Of course this doesn´t work without a little bit of peroxide :sifflote: But it looks awesome and very natural because I am already the "ginger"-type: fair skin, freckles, hazel eyes. Well, no surprise, I´m already 50 % natural "ginger". Got HUGE compliments for my hair color in the salon!! My hair stylist was impressed!

But my new hair color took its toll on: My hair was totally damaged. :fouet: So, my poor hair stylist had to carefully and nicely give me the bad news: There is NOTHING we can do but cut a quite big piece from my midback-length hair. I expected that. I trust my stylist and I was right: It looks awesome! My hair has now shoulder blade length and I´m really surprised how well it suits me. Besides, it´s WAY more practical than my "old" length, the maintenance and care was really a big pain in the bum bum!:rage:

I (almost) look like the actress Bryce Dallas Howard

I like it very much! _thumbsup:
