PokerStars Christmas Celebration

Players at PokerStars can look forward to the festive season in style as the poker room is putting up a new offer every day of the week from December 1 to December 25. Best of all, there’s over $2,000,000 in free prizes to be won and daily All-in Shootouts worth up to $25,000.

Each day during the promotion a new offer will appear in your Challenges Window. These can include CardMatch Challenges, CardHunt puzzles, Reward Point Happy Hours, Jacks or Better Challenges, Golden Sit & Go’s and more.

On a ‘Challenge’ day, each completed mission will award a ticket into an All-in Shootout. Most days, this tournament will pay out $5,000 but, on December’s 3 and 10, the shootout will be worth $10,000, while on December 14 it will award $25,000. The top 10% of players in each All-in Shootout will be paid.

Plus, complete a minimum of ten offers and receive entry to a Christmas Day Freeroll with $100,000 to be won, plus another $30,000 in random prize drops.

Just be sure to opt-in and off you go.

Today's challenge isn't all that bad... KO 5 players from Sit & KO tournaments minimum $1 buy-in.

I opened three $1 36 man games and KO'ed 16 people, won 2 out of 3 tournaments.

Won $20 in the challenge where the min win is $10. Worth a punt!

David Lyons has confessed on Discord that the team had made a mistake in the calculation of the opt-in rate and put too much value into the challenge. It was removed for a brief time (around 8-9 AM ET) and then returned with a modified probability table and a much lower EV of ~$0.30  (e.g. a 98% chance of getting a $0.25 reward). As a tiny consolation, the prize pool of the all-in shootout has been increased to $10K.

Was thinking it was a bit skewed with min win at $10

Not bad. I used the STT KO SNG of $1 for this and those games looks like a fishy garden.

Today time for golden SNG’s, but I expect you need to play a lot of games to hit 1 or you are extreme lucky.

I've played some SnG's hyper KO's, but haven't hit any special ones (about 10 games played) anybody else more lucky?

I didn’t try it, because even if you play like 100 games the change you hit is still low and the reward is minimum as well.

That was nasty for sure. I won only 25c. Today is even nastier. Winning 2 180-man SNG’s to get a seat of a 25k flip freeroll and a reward of at least $40 if you can manage it. So that will be variance heavy stuff.

Cheers,

Anyone that's trying to do it: Good luck I would like to hear from people that completed it!

I am no tourney player so winning two 180's would take a bit of luck for me.
