Flop: (4.25 BB, 2 players) 3♦ Q♦ J♣
BB checks, Hero bets 2.13 BB, BB calls 2.13 BB

Turn: (8.5 BB, 2 players) Q♣
BB checks, Hero bets 4.25 BB, BB calls 4.25 BB

River: (17 BB, 2 players) 4♦
BB checks, Hero checks

The flop seems standart. Turn i think i have to bet again (especially HU) the Q makes less probable that he has in his hand so my second pair seems good since it didn't complete any flush. On river after his check i would probably have a value bet, i don't know what hands could he call here but a weaker J may be. What do you think about the sizing?

I think you played the hand well until the river. There you could consider making a value bet for like half pot. Especially against a fish it could be very profitable to make thin value bets. You could be surprised what kind of hands they will call with.

I would have played the hand this way, too. Including the check on the river. @SDK: What would you do when villain check-raises the river?

I doubt he will ever check raise. I expect he would lead if he has a strong value hand, but sometimes he could check raise trips or better. Off course I expect he would bet top pair already on the flop.
