I'm pretty new to the game and I've wondered if it were bad to call early limpers with a weak ace. I'm always scared my ace might be dominated because it's possible they also limped with a rag ace with a slightly better kicker.

In general you are right to avoid limping with a weak ace for the reasons that you have described. In microstakes cash games there is far too much limping, so I would recommend that you concentrate on a tight preflop hand selection and play in position.
I wouldn’t limp often and indeed make a good hand selection and isolate the limpers in position with a raise of 3bb+1bb per limper.

Yes. Limping behind limpers with weak, offsuit aces is the very definition of fishy behavior. You're just telling everyone behind you that there's going to be a lot of great spots to squeeze you wide.
I've been off studying on RunItOnce and playing tons of 5NL and now 10NL cash games. I haven't watched videos here in quite some time but I certainly know that Adam Jones isn't teaching people to limp behind with dogshit hands.
"I'm worried I'll be dominated" - This right here means you don't even understand the game conceptually. Maybe invest in one of the membership plans here and start working on your game seriously. You can't get good just by reading forums in today's games.
