Yeah, you're right of course!
I check it too often (~once per day) and now even more often because of the challenge.

Final day today. WIll be close but I'll probably finish 600 games.
Unfortunately my chipEV totally sucks throughout the whole challenge/week. Probably won't even be close to my usual 50+.
Hey, I ended up playing the 600 games but with low cEV. Kinda proud I did the volume but apparently not playing well. It feels bad because I actually was motivated and had a good feeling about this.
I guess I'll stick to taking it slow for the time being. I also decided to go for a spontaneous 3 days holiday from poker ♦
After a few days break from poker I'm now unfortunately sick, so rather inactive.
But here's still the recap for last month:

Time spent:

All right, so for my 600 games in a week challenge, I hit the volume goal but apparently my cEV is really bad when 3-tabling. I'm going back to mostly 2 tables for now unless I feel super fit and confident.
My goals for December are very modest, just 1k games with 50+ chipEV. Due to my "sick leave" at the moment, then christmas and another planned holiday later this month (going to Spain with friends for a week), I'm not gonna be able to focus much more on poker.
Hey guys, I'm back! ![]()
I was on two holidays in December + sick for two weeks, so not much poker - hence no detailed report. I had decent chipEV but on less than 400 games. I also had severe problems with my internet connection which should (hopefully) be solved now.
I'm excited to move on to January 2018 - I'll try to play 1.4k games, keep at least 50+ chipEV and study a lot, for a total of ~140h time investment in Spin and Gos.
I'll also resume streaming starting next Monday, if my internet connections stays stable.
Thanks! I'll try to stream tonight (twitch.tv/xanham), I really miss it. But I still have trouble with frequent micro-disconnects, so not quite sure if it will work out.
Yesterday I finally replaced my almost 7-year-old main PC components with some new stuff. Got myself an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 16 GB of fast RAM and a new SSD. I hope the days of tilting lags (especially during streams) are over!
Hardware is working like a charm. But I also upgraded to Windows 10 (finally) and I'm having some trouble setting up everything and activating my (legit) Windows license after the hardware changes. Need to fix this before I stream again - next week I hope.
What's up Xanham? Haven't seen an update for a while now, we getting curious over here!
Hey guys, thanks for the interest and kind words
I'm all right! I had a lot of health issues to sort out, and was also very busy looking for a new job, travelling to interviews etc. This week I got accepted will start a great job in mid-May.
I only played a low poker volume lately due to the circumstances. But now, at least in April, I'll have a lot of time, waiting for the new job to start. After that - we will see.
I'm still in SpinLegends and moved myself back to 7$ spins while not playing regularly - those I can beat rather easily even when a bit rusty
. I'm still officially on 15s and will move back up as soon as I get a decent volume going. I'll also stream again in April
Hey everyone, I'm starting a stream right now, on Twitch, tune in!
Atm it's tough for me to stream on schedule, so I'm gonna throw in extra stream like this whenever I can.
Funny hand I played on stream. First hand of a tournament, readless:
PokerStars - 10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hero (BTN): 25 BB
SB: 25 BB
BB: 25 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♦ 9♠
Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, BB calls 1 BB
Flop: (4.5 BB, 2 players) 2♠ 7♦ 8♣
BB checks, Hero checks
Turn: (4.5 BB, 2 players) T♠
BB bets 3 BB, Hero raises to 7.5 BB, BB calls 4.5 BB
River: (19.5 BB, 2 players) 4♠
BB bets 3 BB, Hero raises to 6.5 BB, BB raises to 15.5 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 9 BB and is all-in
BB shows Q♥ 5♠ (High Card, Queen)
Hero shows J♦ 9♠ (Straight, Jack High)
Hero wins 50.5 BB
Thoughts? I like how I played most of the hand, but I'm still not sure if it's a great call on the river. The 3-bet shove is scary and I tanked for a long time before calling. We block flushes but we also block (lower) straights and missed draws with the 9♠:.
Flop: i like the check back. You dont want to get check / raised with your gs + overcards and unimproved you can still bluff later street.
Turn: i like
River: id prefer to jam on his small bet, its less than potsize and you get called of by Tx, random two pair and lower straight. With the small raise you just miss value. As played i call him off.
First hand I played on stream yesterday, 2nd hand of the tournament: ![]()
PokerStars - 10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hero (SB): 24 BB
BB: 51 BB
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 4♦ J♦
Hero calls 0.5 BB, BB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB
Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) 2♠ 4♣ 4♠
BB bets 6 BB, Hero calls 6 BB
Turn: (18 BB, 2 players) T♣
BB checks, Hero bets 5.6 BB, BB calls 5.6 BB
River: (29.2 BB, 2 players) 5♠
BB bets 1 BB, Hero raises to 9.4 BB and is all-in, BB calls 8.4 BB
Hero shows 4♦ J♦ (Three of a Kind, Fours)
(Pre 34%, Flop 99.7%, Turn 100%)
BB shows 9♥ J♣ (One Pair, Fours)
(Pre 66%, Flop 0.4%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins 48 BB
I could have shoved turn probably. But villains river call is just amazing.
Hey guys, tonight as usual I'll be streaming Spin and Gos on twitch.
I'll have to skip streaming on Thursday this week, because I'm going to watch the new Avengers movie. After all, Cpt. America got a new haircut and beard. That's reason enough :f_cool:. I wonder if I should watch Black Panther and Doctor Strange before that?
Also, yesterday on stream I played and heard the new A Perfect Circle album for the first time. What do you think about it?
April 2018 Recap
April was the first month where I played and streamed 15$ spins consistently again. Not that many games, but I'm happy I got back into the grind.

I'm satisfied with the chipEV. Upswing? Maybe. I hope I can keep that up. I'd love to invest more time overall, but it won't happen any time soon, unfortunately. Tomorrow I'm starting my new full-time job as (IT) Solution Architect in a rather big company. I'll have to focus on that for a while.
