No Limit Hold'em Tournament T250/T500
Buy-in: $2.10+$0.10 USD Hold'em No Limit
PokerStars
6 players
Formatted by pokercopilot.com: Poker HUD for Mac and Windows

Stacks:
UTG - UTG (T5,473)
MP - MP (T4,919)
CO - CO (T5,400)
BTN - BTN (T21,282) 21/12/0/5/71/33 [VPIP/PFR/3b/AF/WTS/# hands] Also BSA 2/3 = 67%
SB - Hero (T13,214)
BB - BB (T6,535)

Preflop: (T1,500, 6 players) Hero is SB with J♥ K♣
3 folds, BTN raises to T1,000, Hero raises to T2,500, 1 fold, BTN calls T1,500

Is this a spot to 3bet shove? If not, what is your shoving range here?
I feel like my 3bet was the worst option. I guess I am turning my hand into a bluff for no reason.

Flop: Q♠ 9♦ 5♥ (T6,250, 2 players)
Hero bets T2,777, BTN raises to T14,581, 1 fold, Uncalled bet of T11,804 returned to BTN

Total Pot: T11,804

BTN wins T11,804

I have moved your hand to our tournament hand discussion forum, because it’s fits better there.

The BTN player looks tight so far and with your stack shoving seems to much, but you can also call and her-evaluate on the flop and not bad to make a tight laydown here if you don’t want to play out of position with a hand like KJo.

The flop is an easy fold there with only 4 outs for a straight.

Cheers,

I like 3b pre, attacking weak steal ranges is a thing. But make it larger (3500). Way you played he's priced in to call with any hand he opens, and you have to play a weakish hand postflop OOP in a big pot.
Postflop a smaller cbet on a dry board will accomplish the same, 1800.

also x/deciding flop might be better than b/f too big as well.
