AK 4bet fold

playing a 4bet or fold strategy is fine for sure

if he shoves when you are so deep and there's dynamic, his range is pretty much QQ+/AK, which means you are not getting enough odds to call. Sucks if he uses QQ/AK to blow you off a chop but it's fine.

Yeah. If he shoves all-in after your cold 4-bet, then I think that’s a smart fold, especially so deep.

Yes folding when you are deep is fine.
My question to you guys: what about only calling instead of 4betting?

Our effective stack size is 138bb so I wouldn't say we are very deep.
We need 40% to make a profitable call, vs QQ+,AK we get only 39%. Add 2 combos of for example AQs and we get 41%. A 5bet shove range is most likely QQ+,AK but there is a slight chance he does this with some other hands too with low frequency. Take rake into account and this is kinda break even. So it doesn't matter that much what you do, I would flip a coin and decide.

Uhmmm... effective stack is 220BB, even after the 4bet we are still 180 BB deep or am I wrong?

Yea when you create a thread at hand discussions you have to select that prefix that shows the limit, but unfortunately the dropdown menu where you select it from doesn't have NL16.
But I'm not always right Especially when I post during the mornings I tend to misread things also

Yeah there is not nl 16 in the options i wrote in front of the text NL 16 next time.

I most likely would have folded as well.
I think you keep your stack big, and not risk. Find a better spot to go in on.

I would prefer smaller sizing sth like 3,25-3,30 and you can also safe some money if he shove

Exactly. I like to 4bet something like 2.2x or 2.3x his 3bet.

You should definitely discount AKo and QQ some from the shove range when he's in position deepish, stacking off would be a mistake
EDIT: and I do mean 138bb deep, it's NL16 my favourite limit ♦
