Hello guys! I will post monthly as well.
I will write a review of last month and set some goals for next month.
As I restarted to play poker seriously only 10 days ago, then this review will be only about last 10 days of February.

As I was new to this format then the start wasn't the best, I was making a lot of mistakes, also didn't know howto play properly in a lot of situations. But by days going I'm becoming better every day and in the few last days I was making very good profit.

Last 10 days in February review:
SNG's played this month: 228
MTT's played this month: 2
Starting Br: 65.38$
Target BR: 1000$
Bankroll now: 138.38$
Profit: +73$

Goals for March

  • Play atleast 500 SNG 6max turbos.
  • Atleast 10 hours studying, including videos and articles.
  • Reach silver status here.
  • Be maximum active in hand discussions as it is only chance for me to for free reach silver status and it will help to improve me as well.
  • At the end of the month if my bankroll will be 200$ or more try to slowly move up from 1.50$ to 3.50$ stake.

Thats basically it. Gl at the tables mates! :f_drink::f_cool:

Hi guys! :f_drink:
Had a bad start of week because of downswing, I was 20 BI down. Feeling was like I am loosing 90% of flips and even some 'impossible' runouts for opponents, for example KK < K6 - both allin preflop, opp was total maniac and the flop comes two sixes...
However, mid of week was upswing and I even managed to make a really nice profit this week. :f_thumbsup: I had a lot of time to play in working days, but didn't play any on weekend and I guess I will not play any SNG today as I have to make a work for school. I hope I will can play MTT session at night.

In these 3 weeks I have improved my game on 6max turbos very significantly by studying. I have even made a small strategy how to play every stage, with different stack sizes, built my open-raise, open-calling and 3-bet ranges preflop on early stage, etc. By sticking to that strategy the feeling is like I am destroying those 6max. Of course there is still a lot of stuff to improve, this week I am planning to study heads up and some nash pushing charts a lot.
And if the things will go right I will start to move up to 3.50$ next week. :f_thumbsup:
I think at the start as I am playing 6 tournaments at one moment I will mix it up like 4x 1.50$ and 2 x 3.50$ and then I will see how it is going.

Week 3
SNG's played this week: 200
MTT's played this week: 6
Starting Br: 65.38$
Bankroll last week: 132.02$
Target BR: 1000$
Bankroll now: 185.48$
Profit this week: +53.46$
Profit total: +120.10$

Not with very good news here.
Firstly, my MTT session yday was very bad. I played only 6 MTT and got busted in 5 of them very fast. And it is not because I just had some unlucky hands like QQ vs AA, but because I was playing very bad. And I guess I made the one worst mistakes yday. 6th tournament was a 180man and I was running good there, we were 11th left and I was 2nd in chips and we both leaders had a significant edge between others in chips. However... as 2nd in chips and chip leader on my table I wanted to put a gas on pedal... made 2 stupid bluffs in a row and then in 3rd hand lost allin QJs vs KQs and basically with pretty reasonable hope to finish in top3 and fight for win I managed to drop out from tournament when I was 2nd in chips in just 3 hands.

Secondly, because of short MTT session I played some SNGs yday. And I tried 3.50$ stake. It was good, didn’t see a much difference between 1.50$. Got back all my looses from MTT and ended up with a good feeling as I felt it is still the same on 3.50$.
And today I tried to play only 3.50$... what ended up as a disaster. First mistake I think I made is that I tried to move up the stake on monday, when it is not the evening. Basically it was quite full of regs and it was quite hard to fight for the money. Also I was running way below EV line and in the finish I lost 50$ in just one day. So now I am at the point where I was week before. Sad but true.

It is sad to lose 30% of your bankroll in just one day but I am trying to keep positive mind and see some positive aspects of this session. For example, yeah there were 2x or even 3x more regs but half of them still were making a fishy plays and a lot of mistakes. So basically I think I can beat atleast half of those regs. Also I did a short hand review over my hands and didn’t see any big mistake which I made. Thats good because despite of losing I wasn’t tilting and making stupid plays.

However, I hope to comeback soon and next time I will try to move up stake I will do that with bigger BR so variance can’t hit me that hard and also will do that on better time - like weekend nights when PS is full of fishes.

Gl guys!

Lose ~30% (51$) of bankroll on monday but make comeback? WHY NOT? _tongue: :profit:
Had a lot of time to play this week, so played a lot. Variance wasn't the best for me this week but still I am overall happy about this week as I proved myself that I am winning player and despite the mondays disaster I can come back!

Week 4
SNG's played this week: 255
MTT's played this week: 6
Starting Br: 65.38$
Bankroll last week: 185.48$
Target BR: 1000$
Bankroll now: 186.31$
Profit this week: +0.83$
Profit total: +120.93$

Cheers guys! :f_drink:

So far I have been playing my best game or close to even when the downswings happened I managed to don't tilt big. I mean I did some tilting but it didn't cost me a lot as those mistakes made by tilting was small - like limping with weak hands, calling some open-raises with marginal hands, set-mining without good odds n stuff like that. But after always those plays I was telling myself - ''calm down dude, if you gonna start playing stupid just because you lost in 2 or 3 side tournaments because of bad luck it is gonna be even worse and you will lose even more money''. And it really helped me as I was always like - ok, this is just a bad luck, it happens and keep playing my A game or if do those little mistakes I always managed to be back to my A game very fast, maximum doing 1-3 those little mistakes. And about that I was very happy so far.

But the exception is yesterday. 1st mistake in yesterdays session is that I kept playing despite at the end of session I was a little tired. I think just because of tiredness my game dropped down to at least B or B-. And then the bad luck hit me and in a result it ended up by tilting. It was first time so far when I caught myself I do stupid plays that actually costs me a tournament life and that is caused by tilting. I didn't mention and write this yesterday because I was tired and didn't have mood as well. In spoiler is 1 example how I fucked up one of my tourneys.

With re-raising flop opp definitely show strength, it could be arguable to call that little re-raise on flop, but however by shoving turn he shows that he has something good and I just can't call with second pair and there is also a completed flush as well now.

However, I am back today with good and positive mind and ready to get my money back. I hope yesterdays action will not happen ever again and also I think I will check some mental videos for getting stronger with my mindset.

I started to play 8-9 tables in one set that is why my games played has increased even if I didn't have a lot of time to play this week but on other side it is harder to focus on all of them so my profit hasn't increased that much. Also I think I ran slightly below the EV line this week.
However, I have now a week long holidays from my university so will grind a tons of tourneys next week ( at least I hope I will can do that). Also I thought to move up stakes when I hit 250$ BR but as I have started to play mostly 9 tables at one moment and it is a little bit hard at start then I will play 1.50$ till the moment when I will feel max comfortable with 9tabling. I guess it is gonna happen next week.

Had a lot of ups and downs this week but overally I guess this is okay week. :f_thumbsup:

Week 5

Looks like I still have some skills in MTT as well. :f_thumbsup: Actually I was close in another this 180man FT, unfortunately my AK lost vs AQ, Q on the river. :f_mad: These 1$ tourneys are very beatable with tons of fishes, especially on sunday. I highly recommend everyone to play it who want's to make some money and/or develop his MTT skill.

Idk why you asking me about hands as I am playing SnG's mostly and a few MTT and hand count there is not important for sure.
However, if you asked...
But these numbers will be not precisely because 1) I am playing on 2 different computers ( 1 in dorms when I'm at school and other when I'm at home) so my database is also split in 2 bases and I don't have my dorms PC info now; 2) I haven't bought any database tracker, I am using Hand2note which is free if you play NL25 or lower and if you play 9$ and lower SNG's/MTT's, and the sad thing is that I discovered it only when I had started this BR challenge, so I don't wanna lie, but I guess about 150-200 tournaments haven't even tracked so it is impossible to say precisely info.

So if I take this, my home computer database then I have played 408 6max SnG's with total of 21002 hands. Averagely it is 51.5 hand per tournament. So if I have played total 1001 tournament it's total about 51551 hands played so far. :f_thumbsup:

However, I'm lazy to make calculations now, but the profit on 1.50$ is way higher than 171 bucks because I have played some MTT's where I have only lost money (except today which is not included in that profit) and also I lost 50 bucks just in 1 day @ 3.50$ stake. :f_mad::f_biggrin:

Hello guys! I am here to sum up some things.

First and only negative thing in those 2 days - had a downswing again. This is the 6th week of my challenge and 5 out of 6 mondays I have ended by losing ~10 BI, so maybe I should avoid playing on mondays. :f_biggrin: Also I got most annoying lose HU ever I guess, at least so far. We were almost tied in chips with my opp, I won an allin and I have now 8952 chips and my opp has only 48 which less than 1/3 of BB. You should say - nice you have won. But pokerstars won't agree. I lost 6 allin in a row and opp chipped up 48>96>192>384>788>1576>3152. After a few hands I ran with JJ into QQ and now he had 7k chips while I had only 2k and he won me after few more hands. Hope this doesn't happen ever again. :f_biggrin:

About positive things now. Firstly, I am watching a tons of videos here @ pokerstrategy because I have reached silver status, especially of course Collin's videos. I really enjoy them and I can learn from them a lot. For example in one of the videos where Collin is finding leaks in player play I discovered I have been playing like total idiot from SB and BB. I was just playing too nitty, didn't defend good hands and didn't complete/call minraises with great pot odds.

Secondly, I have boosted my multi tabling skill successfully. At first it was quiet hard for me to play 9 tables 6max turbo at one moment and made I some mistakes just because of that, but now I am feeling very comfortable with it. Haven't played very much so far 9tabling and also had a downswing but I am pretty sure my winrate will grow with this step. The only sad thing is that in working days when I am playing at dorms on my laptop screen I can't put normally more than 6 tables (tiled). I am not sure if other variants of putting tables on screen are good.

That moment when you have read on opponent that he is maniac and he is bluffing a tons, but at the same time with good/strong hands he is slowplaying, but river fucks you :f_mad::f_biggrin:

villijmeen99 ur in the right tracking!

What happened on 6 all in a row was incredible and truly annoying.
@Wenesday there is living coaching session with Collin into @Collin's Sit 'N Go Crushers Academy. The study is essential to master in this game.

Hello guys! :f_drink:
I decided to write today my week review because of 2 reasons, first I will go to party tonight and I am 99% sure I will not play tomorrow anyways. Second is that tomorrow starts next month and if I will not be too lazy tomorrow I will write review about month and set goals for next month.

So about this week. Despite the fact I have Easter holidays at school I din't have very much time to play as I had a lot of stuff to do at home. Also I had party on thursday with my ex classmates. :f_ugly: But even then I think this week has been great for me in poker because - 1) I am feeling like a fish in water with 9tabling now, so 1 step to increase my winrate done; 2) I have moved up to 3.50$ successfully, at least so far, playing only them now; 3) I was running above EV line this week overally. For example I played only 36 SnG's yesterday, which 20 were 3.50$ and 16 were 1.50$ and I managed to make about 65$ in just 2h40min, so a big uswping yday. :f_thumbsup:

About 3.50$ - I hope I will not have to move back to 1.50$. So far the pool looks close to the same as 1.50$, only difference just a few more regs and they are a little bit stronger than on 1.50$. Actually on 1.50$ I could say in 6 weeks there I saw only like 3 really strong regs who were playing regularly on that limit. Hard to say why they play on that limit as one of them had earned up to 700 dollars in this year in that limit. :f_rolleyes:

Thats basically it about my week and there is the numbers. :f_thumbsup:

Week 6
SNG's played this week: 208
MTT's played this week: 5
Starting Br: 65.38$
Bankroll last week: 236.80$
Target BR: 1000$
Bankroll now: 378.38$
Profit this week: +141.58$
Profit total: +313$
