Dear all -

we have already commented to the extent we are able to comment.

Personal matters which you may have with Alvaro should be taken up with Alvaro.

We are unable to offer any further comment on this matter. Any further public comments asserting otherwise will not lead to anything productive and will result in closure of this thread.

Thanks for your understanding.

Gentlemen as it is possible that threads are opened here and in the forum 2 + 2 talking about cheating and cheating in the most popular form of poker and it does not interest the people almost the subject?

For me there is only one possible answer and the answer is that most regulars who play spin and go are cheating.

Wow you're threatening closing this thread. That's insane. I mean that's just scummy. I don't think you owe anything, perse. But you made a huge mistake and should at least accomodate a public forum for this.

To give an idea about the negligence of pokerstrategy, i have known about this for 2 months. And I'm not particularly well connected or anything. The idea you can work together with someone who's banned from stars and have 0 clue for over a year. No. I don't buy that. What did he say when you wanted him to make a video?

Anyone remember Jose?

Lol pokerstrategy.

Pokerstrategy still are endorsing a company wich main marketing moto is based in a FRAUD , i guess anyone with half a brain will take the conclusions if they continue to do this.

About closing a thread , others will open and most importantly they will get the name burned in 2+2 and then in the Poker comunity , its just a matter of weeks

In my eyes it is actually close to impossible that you didn't know that Spin4Play was banned. As he was a head-coach for over a year, video's would've been expected along w/ other responsibilities. Care to refute this?

Because if you did know, poker-strategy actively participated in scamming it's own community.

This I can answer. We did not know until this PR storm started.

From what I know spin4play got banned recently when this matter got reported by some people - you can read the background in this thread.

If you were spin4play, would your first reaction to the ban be to hurry up and go tell PokerStrategy that you now got banned by PokerStars because of the unfair play during challenge? I guess not.

Once we found out we have been actively investigating the situation at our best. You can see 2 SpinLegends statements and all my PokerStrategy statements earlier in this thread that show this pretty well.

I hope this helps.
I can honestly say PokerStrategy.com did the right thing at any moment during this issue. I of course regret we advertised something that is now proven to have been unfair but we did so in a good faith. Nobody knew about these issues up until recently. If you run a community or news portal in poker, you always try to evaluate public data about poker players and you give visibility to good guys and ambassadors who promote the game in a positive way. We have good filters in place. In this case however we couldnt have known. The challenge looked genuine and very transparent as posted before in this thread. It only now turns out to be different.

Thanks for understanding.

As for the point about closing the thread - there are already statements from SpinLegends and PokerStrategy.com in this thread that give a very good information about the issue from the perspective of SL and PS as a company. However, some matters are private and cannot be discussed in a public thread. Likewise, if there is a plain unfounded hate against PokerStrategy.com or SpinLegends, it is also not welcome on this forum. Thanks for understanding.

Normal discussion respecting the above points is of course not a reason for closing the thread.

Wow you promoted a scamer and the best answer you have is that you didn't know and that you are going to close the thread.

Cornie,

I made a mistake in the timeline, i thought he had been banned sometime in 2017. But apparently this happened the 8th of May. Then I do agree that it's likely that no-one knew of the cheating except his closest inner circle. I'm sorry for insinuating otherwise.

Also considering that it'd be career suicide for him to introduce his seating algorithm into SpinLegends, I don't think it's very likely that this happened either.

He most likely shares that with a bunch of selected players though...wich still is a huge scam

Hello,
I've realised that not everyone is following other forums therefore I feel obliged to post a quick update of what is happening:

-Two weeks ago Spin4Play came forward and offered to repay the amount he got from challenge plus entire amount for losing it to all the victims.
-Communications are very slow, two weeks later zero dollars have been sent.

Yesterday I've received a response from Alvaro that he is willing to repay in installments of 10% per month, which isn't acceptable pace. Everyone knows that he can afford to do it way swifter.
Especially if Pokerstarategy/Spin Legends can confirm that Alvaro is still benefiting from dividends from Spin Legends profits. It looks like yet another delaying tactic - and let's remind this - amount sent thus far still equals ZERO.

I am going to wait until the end of the week and if I won't receive any amount by that time, I, along with other bettors will be forced to explore our options and take appropriate measures in order to retrieve stolen funds.

Regards,
MRtito2

Good points atton64. I find it the most interesting how did Alvaro manage to hack pokerstars software and play vs fish. Considering that algorithm for assigning players at the tables is being executed on the server, not on local device, it means that he managed to hack their server. Could he also in that case hack player hole cards, probably yes. I think that with today's internet security technology it is almost impossible that someone hacks algorithm of some highly professional company such as pokerstars. That means that Alvaro most likely had insider in pokerstars, likely software developer who helped Alvaro to cheat. Pokerstars surely knows what happend, but why is this thing not going public at all and not explained what really happend.

The fact is, in online poker there are cheaters all around. Where ever you have money online, and possibility to cheat there are always cheaters like Alvaro. In online poker the worst thing is that cheaters don't get punished. He just ruined his image, who cares about image if he stole millions.

It's horrible to see situations like these, especially as we're trying to improve our game every day, I hope players get their money back.
