Building my Poker Bankroll - 2018

Hello guys, I'm still alive I think this week i will finish with the bussy schedule at work and i will have more time to play again.

A few days ago I've dropped a glass of milk on top of my notebook I disassembled it and used some towel papel to clean it up, but now i cant use my keyboard at all.
So I got a new laptop, not as fast as my old one but this one has a 17" display so it is easier for me to play more than 4 tables.
But now i will need a few days to move all my things on this laptop, over 300 GB of things

I also have to use PT4 now, because i had a license code for Hm2 from a friend and i cant use it on this new laptop, that's a bit sad.

This is all the hands that i managed to play this month :

Good results, i'm happy with my new nitty aproach at NL2. Let's hope things will keep going like this.

This is my first free day from work of this month so i decided to make a small update about my progress here on my blog before i go outside to enjoy this beautiful morning.

I'm behind with some of my goals for this month and i will faill some off them but with May around the corner and with a much better schedule at work i will make May the best month since i started this challenge.

Yesterday i decided to play a longer session because i'm behind with my volume and here are my results :

I feel that just now i fully understand what i have to do and how to play to beat NL2 on Pokerstars.fres. I just had to stop doing hero calls and bluff like Daniel Negreanu.
So this month on off my goals was to change my ranges and my postflop gameplay and just be a NIT. The only stat that i watched this month was my W$SD, i just wanted to make some money so i ca move up.

It is this the best aproach to beat this limit ? I don't know but it works for me and i'm happy with my results. And this is my whole month :

I will make the final update off this month in a few days with my results and my new bankroll.

March is gone, let´s check my goals for the last month :

500 hands every day => 15 k hands/month - Unfortunately i did had as much free time but i still played : 14.206 Hands
1 hour of study, 5 days a week => 20 hours of study - DONE
Post/reply hands in the No Limit thread - DONE
Change ranges and the postflop play. More nitty ! - DONE
Read a book - BIG FAIL

I didn´t achieved all my goals but if i take in consideration that this was the bussiest month at work i am really happy with my results.

I promised myself that in May i will fullfill all my goals and tasks. Furthermore i think this month will be the month when i will make the jump from NL2 to NL5 if nothing bad happens

And here are my results of April :

In the spanish community there is a new poker coach for MSS 6 max, but he started a challenge, he will play BSS and10k hands on NL2, NL5 and NL10 live on stream. He already finished those 10k hands at NL2 and his winrate was 17bb/10.

Same winrate that i achieved this month, and i was talking with him on twich chat and he said i should move up and play NL5 already. But i´m not in a rush so i will stick to my plan to move up only if i have 30 BI for the next limit.

Starting Bankroll : 50 Euro
Updated Bankroll : 142 Euro.

Exciting yeah but I'm a bit scary about the "sharks " that are there waiting for me, I hope i will have a good start so i can build my confidence level.

After 87 days i finally reached 30 BI for the next limit, so here it is the whole graph since i started the challenge :

Hands - 83.851
Profit - 86.83 Euro + 14 euro rakeback and promotions= 100 Euro.
BB/100 - 5.03

Was a long ride and it was only my fault, it took a while until i realised what i need to do to beat NL2 on Pokerstars.fres

Fold a lot !
-Don´t bluff the fish.
-Don´t level-up with the regs.
-Don´t 3 bet bluff to much, they dont fold.
-Don´t cold call to much, especialy in SB.
-Don´t go all in preflop with marginal hands even tho the villain it is a fish.
-Think twice when you get raise on the flop and... FOLD, unless you have a monster or you play vs maniacs.
-Don´t overestimate the HUD, this monkeys at NL2 will change the playstyle often and the stats from the HUD can trick you.
-Don´t overplay your showdown hands.
-Fold vs big donks or raises on the River unless you have a really good hand.
Fold a lot !

This are my stats from the last 15 k hands on NL2. I hope when i will start NL5 i can achieve atleast one third of this winrate

Later tonight i will play my first session on NL5 and tomorrow after work i will post the results and my gameplan for the next period and what i think i have to do to beat this limit also.

Just got home from work, yesterday and today I have some problems with my internet connection so i will not play today. I will go out with some friends.

Hello guys, that was my run at NL5 Unfortunately my shot at nl5 wasn't succesful so i decided to go down in limit and play NL2 again until i rebuild my BR

I will try to play 8 tables at Nl2 and put a decent volume this month, maybe at the end of this month I will be back at Nl5

Sorry to hear the shot didn't go through. This kind of thing happens all the time. It happened to me at NL10 twice before! The best we can do is learn from any mistakes, rebuild and don't let the variance monster get us down.

Its probably best the shot fails from NL2->NL5 instead of something like NL25->NL50 so you get more experience with it.

You seem to be taking it very well though! much better than me :D.

Difference is that I had a crazy good start so still above 0 but the downswing is the same.

I didn´t tilt at all, so atleast a good thing happend The bad news is I am so bussy at work I dont find time to play poker these days, so maybe will take me a while to rebuild

You had a sick upswing when you started. I´m sorry to hear about your bad run. I hope you will go back up soon !

I experienced this kind of "move up" to NL5 twice ♦ Exactly as you did ♦ Now I'm building my 3rd bankroll again with little more discipline and gameplan than before. So keep it up bro. I like your blog, motivates me for my journey.
