These spots are really problematic for me...I'm not sure how to play in 4bet pots OOP after my bluff 4bet is called preflop.
I use KJo as a 4bet bluff SB vs BB and I get called. If I think about it he shouldn't have monsters like QQ+ and AKs if he choose to call 4bet. Some fishes call with them but it's not frequent. So I put him or something like this: JJ-TT, AQs-AJs, KQs, 98s, 87s, 76s, AKo
I decided to bet flop because he has a lot of air in his range on this flop and I can improve my hand on the turn. I bet small so I don't get pot commited plus I think he will fold his air weak draws and weak pairs anyway on this flop in 4bet spot. He calls...
On the turn I was thinking what to do and I knew he will only call me with his best hands like sets, JJ, or straights if I decide to shove. He will most like call with range like this: JJ, 87s, ThTs, ThTc, TsTc, 9d8d, 7d6d but I'm not sure if it's possible for him to hold TT, I think he would most likely reraise on the flop, not sure.
I can still represent monsters with my turn shove there while he shouldn't have them.
I know I'm pretty much fuc**d when he calls. I only have GS and overcards and not all would help me as he has flush draws and straight draws.
Anyway..I think he will only call like 1/3 of times - JJ,TT,8d9d,87s,6d5d...aaaand it's still -EV as I will loose 153bb 35% of times (he calls, my equity is 12% and pot would be 200bb roughly ) and win 67bb 65% of times (he folds) roughly...may be even worse. It's like -10bb EV in this hand for me (67x0.65-153x0.35) = (how much I win when he folds minus how much I lose when he calls)
I shall give up this hand on the flop right? There is probably no need to bluff here with this hand as I have better hands for bluffs in my 4bet range - Suited aces, suited kings, Q9s-QJs, AKs for example...I want to bluff there sometimes but probably not with this hand right? What would you recommend range wise?
