Hello Everyone . :f_p:

Litle presentation

I'm a Portuguese man , married and with a full time job.

Poker is my passion and my nº1 hobby.

I'm not a rookie here in Pokerstrategy (i'm here almost every day since October 2011) , i have several blogs in Portuguese comunity but....unfortunly that comunity has died ..so i decide to create a new blog here wishing making some new friends , learning and improving my game too .

In my last blog i start with 30$ and keep improving until now . My next posts i will explain a bit my strategy and talk a bit about the games which i will play .

In Portugal at the moment we can play only on PokerStars FR ES PT pool :)

My write in english isn't the best ....but i hope that you can understand :)

Due to having a full time job and so on ...my mainly game will be Cash Game (maybe 90% of the time) , but i love to play Sng/Mtt's too.

Bankroll management !

Bankroll management it's the most important thing that you must follow and try to never run away from that.

i have start a challenge in my Portuguese blog which i will continue updating here:)

I have start with 30 Euros (online) playing NL2 and now my BRM (online + live ) is 339.86$

i love to play Live , so times at times i put some money from online to play live .

BRM for Cash Game

BRM for Sng/Mtt's

5% of my Total Bank for Poker at the end of the current month moves to this bank

#################################################
ADVICE/HINT
As you can see i start with 30$ and now i have round 340$ but the true is in April per example i have more then 550$ ..so keep this in mind ...this is not an easy game and you must and make every efforts to control yours bigger enemy ....your mind !

As soon as you improve control your mind better for you .
At the moment my main trick is to not look to the results in Hm2 and continous playing the best game that i could and keep yours BRM management rules.

OBJECTIVES/GOALS !!!

it's very important you have some objectives/goals to put some "pressure" on you and to have something to achieve the objectives .
The goals should never be too easy or too difficult to achieve , put something above the average :)
And the goals that you make now ..can be very differents in the future due to several variables that life can bring you , but what matters is you set the goals and try hard to achieve that.

Current Monthly Goals

-> 35K hands playing NL2/NL5/NL10 regular/zoom tables
-> 250 sng/mtt's
-> Review at least hands 40 hands

Semester Goals

-> 55000/225K hands 24% done
-> 174/1500 sng/mtt's 11% done
-> Reach and stay at NL25 (step 6 in my Brm management)
-> play at least 4 sessions Cash Game live 2/4 50% done
-> play at least 2 Mtt's Live

AUGUST GOALS

-> 30K hands playing NL2/NL5 regular tables
-> 250 sng/mtt's
-> Review at least hands 40 hands

In details

Cash Game
For August i want to play 30Khands at least on NL2 and 5 regular tables . With my actual BRM i can play higher limits but at this time i prefer to focus on easy games and make "easy money" so i will maintain playing regular tables instead Zoom per example.
When my BRM grow up a litle more and because we don't have enough players in NL10 and biger (because the pool are open but only for zoom) i will return to Zoom .

Sng/Mtt's
My BRM for this is 17 Euros (5% of my total BRM as described earlier) , i will play 6-max turbos (0.50$ and 1$) .
I will try to play some Mtt's too.

ADVICE/HINT

Stakings , i love stakings :)

with stakings we can buy shares from others players and following /railing is achievements , knowing that we will have a percentage of yours profits ..and losses of course.

Stakings are very good to decrease the variance and maintain the most stable bank with less oscillations.

In past i buy and sell on 2plus2 but with the current overview we can't make player to player transfers so some years ago i have discovered the CMU which I started to use for this purpose.

I buy and sell events there , so if anyone have interested in using that site I would be grateful if you could put my referal when you make your register. My referral is aafrancis

Hello ,

i have to change a little the goals for August because ...yesterday i went to go some Cash Live and make a little profit , so and taking into account that I am up at the 2 limits which i'm playing , I will move to the NL10 grind regular tables.

  I think the field is already very short from there, so I should already incorporate the returrn into Zoom (that has been my misfortune).

AUGUST GOALS

-> 5k/30K hands playing NL2/NL5 regular tables 16% done
-> 54/250 sng/mtt's 21% done
-> 0/40 Review at least hands 40 hands 0% done

So i will add Regular tables NL10 and some Zoom too.

You have only $150 for Live Poker? O________o
Are there Casinos in your country where you can play microstakes?

I start this journey with 30€.....playing nl2....and the brm live is made by cashouts from online to live brm.

The lower limit in casinos in my country is nl100.

GL to your goals...

how many hours are you investing in poker a day (learning and grinding)?
how many tables are you playing at the same time?

At the moment i only play and review some hands time of time , but if you are new on this you should take a lot studiyng , see videos , books and articles :)

I play everyday 1 ...2 hours max.

Regular tables i play 9 tables , if i play zoom i play 3 ..or 4 tables.

HI aafrancis,

Kinda like that you invest a small amount in MTT but since the gameplay is a lot different than cashgame, don't you have any difficulties regarding the mindset for each type of game? Or do you play them separatelly?

I'll follow your blog, seems you're running good. Do you use the live cash to boost your bankroll online and climb to the next limit or do you stick with the 30€ and climb only when you get like 20 buyins for NL10?

GG

hello Gustavo.

i will try to answer all your questions :)

I start this journey with 30$ playing NL2 online . love to play Mtt's too so i made a plan and provide 5%(in the beginning of the month) of my total BRM (which was created from the initial 30$) to play some Mtt's too.

I make my sessions of MTT's separately from Cash game (which is my main goal and effort in this blog)

I can't use my Live Cash sessions to climb limits because i have a rule where i can only move up if i have winrate >1 in the current online limite.

Feel free to add me as a friend here and he can change some skypes :)

Hi man,

Seems like a good plan to me. I don't like to play live cash (only did it once) but i'm sure the random player is very week but with a 100€ buy in I think its a lot.

In the current games on PS, I think it's quite possible to get a good winrate, let's see if I can manage to make 20/30k hands and post the graph afterwards.

I'm adding ;)
