UTG+1 ($2.04) 102bb
CO Hero ($2.42) 121bb
BTN ($2.02) 101bb
SB ($2) 100bb
BB ($6.99) 350bb

Pre-Flop: (0.03, 6 players) Hero is CO A♦: K♠:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.08, 2 folds, BB raises to $0.30, Hero raises to $0.82, BB goes all-in $6.99, Hero goes all-in $1.60

I've read some microstakes strategy here from pokerstrategy coaches that with AA, KK, QQ, and AK we should 4/5bet shove preflop if we don't have enough info from the villain.
But I've also read a thread in this forum that debates the overvaluing of AK preflop.
I started to play on monday. From my 17,447 hands so far, there were 6 times I went down PF with AK, and it results are -158.50bb.
Is it profitable in the long run shoving AK in microstakes? Or we could just fold to 5bet shoves and call 4bet sometimes (in the case of restealing - BTN vs BB)?

Call and play a pot in position.

I expect you mean after the 3bet, but that seems a good move.
The strategy of 4bet or 5bet pre-flop seems a little bit loose with AKo without any reads on the player and especially against a fish you will flip in best case if you would 4bet call like now or he's crazy enough to stack of with AQ or weaker.

In this particular spot calling the 3bet is better than 4betting.

I would care to explain why.

1. You are 120 BB deep (not 100BB). This may look negligible to you but in fact stacking for 120 BB with AKo preflop is bad unless you have reads on villian.

2. When you 4bet, you would always have good odds to call an all in. However, you would rarely be ahead when someone shoves after your 3bet. People just do not shove with something like AQ. You would be flipping which is the best scenario for you.

3. In this situation you have position which gives you postflop advantage.

4. If you call the 3bet you would keep his range wide and can dominate postflop hands like AQ/AJ/Axs which might be a decent part of villian's range

In general, i would stack off in this spot preflop only if i have reads.

On another note, if i have AK in these positions and i am in the SB i would always shove as shoving would give me also fold equity and a lot of the AK winning preflop come from people folding to your shove.

In a battle COvsBB we can 4b/call shove with AKo.
Everything else is bla-bla-bla.

It makes a Great difference in you are shoving all-in or you are calling the shove
As mentioned before don‘t call without s great reason

Thanks for your opinions. Maybe 4betting in this cenario is not a good option... A little bit of pot control would suffice.
On the other hand, I don't have enough info from the villain for most of the times that it happens, so when he shoves I consider he's holding the range of an average loose micro player on BB (like ATs+, TT+).
In the long run on micros, is it ok to keep controlling the pot PF when holding AK?

That makes no sense to me..
Fact is his 3b sizing is very loud so, you won't control anything with a call IP, and on a baby flop, what will you do ?
AK is a hand that you wanna shove pf because it needs all streets, not only a flop.. And AK is good because you block AA/KK even if sometimes you will face it..
And 120bb is nothing.. you can play differently when you're at least 200bb deep..

From my experience, don't shove AK pre-flop on NL2 unless you clearly know it's a opponent on tilt.
You're almost always flipping against the typical range of hands this guys are willing to move in pre-flop.

Folding this hand to a 3bet is too exploitable, but be careful playing out of position.
