Best of Skills & Luck @ Tables,
OldSchoolPapa.

Drop by any time then.
I usually stream MWF at around 19:00 Z, and almost always play at least some NLHE along with all the other games.

Oh -- I should mention I'm just learning PLO too...

All the best,

When you stream it´s about 7 am in the morning here or so? Then I can´t drop by. At what times do you stream?

So at least your post about the streaming was at 6:30 a.m. in the morning CET.

Z is short for Zulu Time, better known as Greenwich Mean Time, or GMT.

In other words, the stream starts at around 9 PM our time (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and typically lasts until some hours after midnight. Can't tell how long exactly, because I tend to log off some time after my session is over.

Surprise Indeed

I entered an 888 Wild Surprise tournament -- I cannot remember how I got the ticket.

Cashed a tier or two up from the bottom, but about half an hour later, I got this:

In the 888 bankroll rebuild challenge, every little bit helps -- especially since I spewed off a few bucks over the last few days...

Cheers,

Why You MUST Bluff

At least some of the time
Oh yeah -- and you need to be caught doing it, too

Feral Cow Poker Hand Converter
PokerStars Limit Triple Draw $0.50/$1.00 - 5 players

Button: $43.78 (Hero)
SB: $19.50
BB: $5.64
UTG: $43.45
CO: $6.75

Dealing Hands: ($0.75) K♣:2♠:5♣:2♣:4♣: (5 players)
UTG raises to $1, CO folds, Hero calls $1, SB folds, BB calls $0.50

First Draw: ($3.25) (3 players)
BB discards 2, UTG discards 1, Hero discards 2,
2♠:5♣:4♣: || 3♠:Q♦:
BB checks, UTG bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, BB calls $0.50

Second Draw: ($4.75) (3 players)
BB discards 1, UTG discards 1, Hero discards 1,
2♠:5♣:4♣:3♠: || T♠:
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls $1, UTG calls $1<==When I drew the T I intended to stand pat, but on third draw, when BB Stands, I decided to break it (the power of position)

Third Draw: ($7.75) (3 players)
BB stands, UTG discards 1, Hero discards 1,
2♠:5♣:4♣:3♠: || 7♦:
BB checks, UTG bets $1, Hero raises to $2, 2 folds <==I DO bluff, but these guys have never seen me do it -- so I did not get paid off (and of course, they may have both been bluffing)

Hero collected $9.35

(Rake: $0.40)

If I had been known to bluff, I might have got paid off with the nuts here

I had a terrible run of luck live on stream today -- outdrawn repeatedly, and when I wasn't being outdrawn, I was raising into hands that already had me beat.

So after supper, I played some more just to prove it wasn't a complete moron, and had a great time -- this hand among the standouts.

@VorpalF2F

Hello. Congrats, the blog´s awesome. I've been visiting...

I am close to stream too. I play NL25 Zoom on PS.

I wanna pass content of cash games and have fun with the followers.

I believe that I will start a blog (in English because I am Brazilian) here in the community.

What do you think about stream?

Hi trombini,
Streaming has helped my poker quite a bit -- especially NLHE tournaments.
As I play, I outline my thoughts on the hand, and my plan for it -- which I didn't do enough of before.

Streaming is going to require a decent internet connection and a decent computer.
With my own computer, I had quite a problem when starting.
First off, my computer had a build up of dust inside -- it would overheat and shut down. Not good.
Once I got that fixed, It still got quite hot -- up to 80C quite frequently. My computer was just using the original motherboard video system, and it was not capable of rendering video frames fast enough to stream -- so the stream was lagging, and the CPU and GPU loads were extremely high.
I purchased a used high-end graphics card, and all seems OK now.

Before streaming for yourself, I suggest watching a variety of them.
The best of them are both entertaining and instructive.
https://www.twitch.tv/vanessakade has a great stream, lots of giveaways, homegames on pokerstars for a wide variety of variants. She's funny too.

Some others worth watching:
PokerStrategy.com members:
https://www.twitch.tv/upay4dinner
https://www.twitch.tv/metalmonkeyps
https://www.twitch.tv/maugr1s (me  )

Non-holdem good streams:
https://www.twitch.tv/PokinStar (NLO8)

Non-pros worth watching most of the time:
https://www.twitch.tv/ArlieShaban
https://www.twitch.tv/4cid
https://www.twitch.tv/pokerbrahs
https://www.twitch.tv/ericcollier

Pros:
https://www.twitch.tv/kevinmartin
https://www.twitch.tv/PokerStars
https://www.twitch.tv/easywithaces

Have a look around, and see how they lay out the stream, how they brand themselves and so on.
upay4dinner does a great job of branding, for example -- he's got a great logo, and uses it well.

I look forward to seeing the blog!

I do watch TV from time to time -- but I haven't seen "Mind Games" yet.

I chose the title for the blog primarily because I started it to track my progress through "The Mental Game of Poker" -- and partly because poker is a thought game, and partly because of the Beatles Song:

I don´t! Guess you agree that here in Germany there are just tons of sh1tty shows and idiot doku soaps and lots and lots of commercials. Why should I watch commercals every 10 minutes? Don´t need this sh1t! Wasting of time!

Just to be clear I'm not watching TV either. I don't even have one anymore. I sometimes watch shows on my computer while I'm eating.
Don't get me started on commercials, propaganda and all of TV crap. You don't wanna hear me ramble about it like the bookworm hipster nerd I (not so) secretely am.

Prim nails it.

And yeah, I'm also watching TV shows on the computer every now and then.

Actual broadcast television, on the other hand, is pretty much a thing of the past, as far as I'm concerned. The only good reason to have a TV at home these days is to have a nice big screen for your own stuff.
