I wanna pass content of cash games and have fun with the followers.

I believe that I will start a blog (in English because I am Brazilian) here in the community.

What do you think about stream?

Hi trombini,
Streaming has helped my poker quite a bit -- especially NLHE tournaments.
As I play, I outline my thoughts on the hand, and my plan for it -- which I didn't do enough of before.

Streaming is going to require a decent internet connection and a decent computer.
With my own computer, I had quite a problem when starting.
First off, my computer had a build up of dust inside -- it would overheat and shut down. Not good.
Once I got that fixed, It still got quite hot -- up to 80C quite frequently. My computer was just using the original motherboard video system, and it was not capable of rendering video frames fast enough to stream -- so the stream was lagging, and the CPU and GPU loads were extremely high.
I purchased a used high-end graphics card, and all seems OK now.

Before streaming for yourself, I suggest watching a variety of them.
The best of them are both entertaining and instructive.
https://www.twitch.tv/vanessakade has a great stream, lots of giveaways, homegames on pokerstars for a wide variety of variants. She's funny too.

Some others worth watching:
PokerStrategy.com members:
https://www.twitch.tv/upay4dinner
https://www.twitch.tv/metalmonkeyps
https://www.twitch.tv/maugr1s (me  )

Non-holdem good streams:
https://www.twitch.tv/PokinStar (NLO8)

Non-pros worth watching most of the time:
https://www.twitch.tv/ArlieShaban
https://www.twitch.tv/4cid
https://www.twitch.tv/pokerbrahs
https://www.twitch.tv/ericcollier

Pros:
https://www.twitch.tv/kevinmartin
https://www.twitch.tv/PokerStars
https://www.twitch.tv/easywithaces

Have a look around, and see how they lay out the stream, how they brand themselves and so on.
upay4dinner does a great job of branding, for example -- he's got a great logo, and uses it well.

I look forward to seeing the blog!

Ouch

Almost a week ago, I began to experience discomfort in my left eye.
This happens from time to time, and I have ointment that <usually> makes things all better.

However this time, over Saturday and Sunday, the discomfort turned to outright pain that didn't diminish during the day as it usually does.

So Monday I hauled my arse to the ophthalmologist.
He froze my eye with some topical anaesthetic drops (yay!) and installed a therapeutic contact lens.

Apparently I have a recurrent corneal erosion

I think something else is going on as well, since I've never had one take so long to heal.

The worst part of it is, I can only play poker for short stretches.<sniff>

Cheers,
VS

Indeed there are @Harrier. Where I am from we have no such fancy things as television. I still enjoy a night infront of my phonograph :f_p:

I'm So Excited!

I have been saying on stream for the past month that "I need another monitor".
On the night of the 31st, I saw an ad that said if I ordered before midnight I could get 10% off on a 27-inch gaming monitor -- which was already pretty inexpensive.

So now I haz 3 monitors. Pics when I get it all set up.

Today's stream was a treat...
:diamond:  Cashed several tiers up in the 888 Wild surprise for $2.00 -- plus a $2.00 surprise gift.
:diamond:  Finished 2nd in a $3.50 PL 5-Card Draw 6-man Sit-and-Go
:diamond:  Finished 2nd in the $1.10 PLO8 tournament on PlayNow.com after being down to < 1 BB early on
:diamond:  Had a positive result in both the NL 25 and NL 100 5-Card draw cash games
:diamond:  Won 10 hands of NL 5 (Hold'em) on 888 to earn another Wild Surprise ticket
:diamond:  Completed the GGPoker daily mission -- that makes 7 this week, so I can play the freeroll Sunday with 10K starting stack.

Only problem is that this was a spur-of-the-moment stream, since I was sure I would not be back in time. This means that almost nobody saw it.

<sigh>

Much better thanks.
I went to the ophthalmologist on Wed, and got the good news that it is nearly healed.
Should be all OK by next appointment next Wed.

Well Finally

I bust out of nearly everything today, so I used the time to turn a picture of Truckle into an avatar for PokerStars and GGPoker -- and any other poker room that pulls their head out of their -- now where was I going with that thought?

OK -- who or what is Truckle? I hear you cry (or rather, I imagine I hear you, but that is not important now.)

The verb is actually was. Truckle was a 1954 Dodge military truck.
It's official designation is M152 CDN. Here's some idea of what it really looks like.

I purchased Truckle (I wish I had thought of Trucky McTruckface, but hey -- in 1978 we weren't nearly that cool -- and we pronounced it "gnarly" and thought we were cool).
Where was I? Oh yeah -- I got Truckle in 1978 at an auction in Chilliwack (no, I didn't just have a keyboard accident) when the Canadian government closed the army base there.

I wanted a Jeep. They had none. But they had two of these beasties.
It was a sealed bid auction, and I submitted a bid for $1500 on either of the two of these trucks. I was awarded this one, and it became part of our family -- we drove it for 14 years. Much of the time it was our only vehicle. Hard on gas, maybe -- but you can get one stink of a lot of groceries in an M152 CDN.

This is the photo that became the avatar. Unlike the ones linked above, this one was mine...

Note: The avatar is much smaller
You can see the avatar in action almost any M, W or F at roughly 20hrs UTC on my stream (see link below)

Enjoy your week, and best of luck at the tables...

Thanks so much to Harrier who took the woesome travesty of a photo and made it look cool.

I tried some Allin-or-Fold Omahahaha on GGPoker today.
One of the followers of my stream suggested that it was a good way to accumulate points quickly.

In his words:

"it can be very swingy but if you know what your equities are its beatable"

Well, I think I know my equities well enough, and I did win 41% of the hands I played:

But after 300+ hands I was a mere $1.52
Swingy? You bet...

If it weren't for variance, this game would be boring...

I went to the eye doctor today -- all is well. My eye has healed, and I don't have to see him again for 3 months.

Next step is prevention.
I have an ointment I will use nightly as before, but I'm going to wear a plastic shield over that eye just to be sure.

Well on the other hand, fishes are so easy to blind counter ;)
It's more against regs that you need to keep your eyes open

My dad had to do that a couple of years ago. He had a benigne brain tumor removed, everything went well but he couldn´t close his right eye.
