So I sqzz from the SB with AKo making it really big and got both callers and I flop really well with dry A high board.
I bet 25% to test the waters and initial raiser fold, but caller caller decides to see turn. I decide to check for pot control and he mini bets which I easily call and then river comes the Q that completes flush and possible AQ from villain and he shoves for around 2/3 of the pot and I decided to fold.

The thing is I think I got into this spot for giving him innitiative OTT but I don't think he is pushing any Ace there but two pair.

How would u play the hand then, betting bigger OOT and check/f that river or any other approach?

UTG: 101.5 BB (VPIP: 20.07, PFR: 17.31, 3Bet Preflop: 11.54, Hands: 299)
MP: 100 BB (VPIP: 47.37, PFR: 31.58, 3Bet Preflop: 5.88, Hands: 40)
CO: 102.5 BB (VPIP: 24.37, PFR: 20.17, 3Bet Preflop: 8.51, Hands: 123)
BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 19.87, PFR: 17.31, 3Bet Preflop: 5.00, Hands: 162)
Hero (SB): 145.5 BB
BB: 160.6 BB (VPIP: 17.63, PFR: 13.36, 3Bet Preflop: 6.60, Hands: 282)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♠ K♦

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, fold, BTN calls 3 BB, Hero raises to 13 BB, fold, MP calls 10 BB, BTN calls 10 BB

Flop: (40 BB, 3 players) 3♥ A♣ 9♣
Hero bets 9.6 BB, fold, BTN calls 9.6 BB

Turn: (59.2 BB, 2 players) 4♠
Hero checks, BTN bets 16 BB, Hero calls 16 BB

River: (91.2 BB, 2 players) Q♣
Hero checks, BTN bets 61.4 BB and is all-in, fold

Spoiler

BTN wins 87.1 BB

Have to say this limit is tougher than 5 I just sqz again QQ and initial raiser mini 4bet I call. low rainbow flop he bets small, turn small again and river keeps the board super small and he shoves for 80% pot with A9 air. He was representing all day KK AA with that play so really hard to play against. I guess I should call more OTR and get more variance as people are capable of bluffing for whole stack.

Rather weird hand here. And no the flop isn't that dry.
Flop cbet isn't big enough, make it into the 15-25 BB range, that still let you some choice lol.
The turn check isn't "standard" at all but I may totally like it as an exploitative move against some opponents (that I'd expect could float me in this spot whereas they couldn't call 2 barrels with much less). It would certainly NOT be about "pot control" though ! I'd check/raise for value.
I suppose folding on the river as played is cautious, it could be close, I don't really know and don't really care because the real question comes before for me as I'd never play it like that on the turn and think no one would.

I do not like the turn x. 9, T, J, Q and a club are scare cards for us and I do not agree to give villain free card.
On micro limits you can play this hand straight. Bet, bet, bet.

I play bet/bet/shove.

As played i would probably fold on river its annoying but most people dont bluff enough. Call vs. LLinusLLove and fold vs. random 20/18 nit reg. Lol

yeah totally agree. I played terrible that turn. I shoul've fire again to get value from worse Ax and protect vs FD. If he has 99 then its a cooler I guess and should still call push?
