Hi guys I cbet with lots of Equity on that board. Hit my Q on turn so I'm betting again 1/3 to control pot and get value from 99 TT T9s (45s 96s??) some floats with club. River I see blocking bet / Fold to not face any hard decision by villain shoving.
Anyway Need help for turn play. Maybe I should've just check/call giving the case I have the backdoor nut flush and would only lose to 77. I dont see many 8 in his range away from 89s

Bet bigger on the turn. And of course on the river. It's your sizes that put you in this crap..
As played, even if it's hard to imagine, I think I'm never folding on this river. Rightly or wrongly so, I couldn't tell you, but I'm never folding lol.

As played, with him having less than PSB left, just jam river.

I like to check OTF. That's his board and you have a hand you can play as a check-raise. If he doesn't bet you see a free card OOP which is always good.
Bet turn but go bigger OOP. Even a pot bet is fine imo.
River he may have hit, but maybe a check-raise has some merit? Would look stronger than ever, meaning I can beat a straight here.

You played the hand perfectly fine up until river. If you bet flop with this combo, hit TPTK on turn and barrel, you can't do anything else but shove river. He has @58bb left in 67bb pot. No brainer ship river. Either bet/call or jam, but jam is far superior. You have to ask yourself, if you take this line, does he bet/jam hands like JJ, TT, KQ, QJ on the river if I check? Then you have to ask, does he call with those hands if I jam? He is not going anywhere with trips+, so you have to figure out how to get max value from the hands you beat. If he folds for that he should, fine!! If he calls more than he should, great!!!!! If he bets when I check, what's our move? Is his range stronger when he bets vs. our check or is it stronger when we jam and he calls? He will have more losers in his range when he calls, because, well, that's the biggest mistake fish make. If you lose, take a note, like "draws to dumb end of straight on paired FD board" "slowplays trips on dangerous FD boards" "calls 66 vs 1/3 pot on 887 FD board" "min raised river after 2 check/calls leaving peanuts behind with slowplayed nuts"

Honestly, I think I like a check with this combo (AQcc) but you can play a mixed strategy with the FD's here. I would like to bet ATcc (blocks his 99 straight draw), A9cc (blocks his TT straight draw), A5cc/A4cc (SD blockers). I like the size you chose also. Say he is one of those guys that will overplay and raise something like A8 or 87 or 99 or a weaker FD and force you to fold here, not a great result when you can check/call and there is zero chance of a board pair on the turn. If you bet flop here OOP, choose combos with the best blocking effects and/or the ones you can feel comfortable getting away from if he goes nuts on this flop. This combo is just too good. You can't really bet for value here aside from the occasional Ax float or a weaker FD and you can't use this as a bluff because you have 15 outs (9 clubs, 3 aces and 3 Q's).

I definitely call the river. You're just getting too good odds to fold imo.

Turn I'm betting a little bigger, and river too, realistically, otherwise I think it's fine.

wp, some inspired plays right here sir!

river's close, think we can fold easily though at the limit, we block flush draws, 8x sets beat us T9 got there
he's got what
TJcc KJcc KTcc K9cc...4 air combos? the rest has pairs, we chop with AQ and block it

I like the sizing there his most likely hands he'll call are what 99-JJ 75s A7s stubborn 55
we block the KQcc QJcc that float fop always and call a jam

It's probably small bet>check call>shove to me here
EDIT: Snowie says the same :)

EDIT2: didn't see the minraise aaaargh this sucks, I'd call vs this actually fold vs a jam

only person that agrees with my sizes and he's a coach
He didint have to many BB left and with his mini raise I think he has me beat here. I dont want to check because he is either checking behind worse hand or shoving. He's never doing anything different so I'm value betting doing a blocking bet. If he was over the top he can of course beat my pair of Q

The thing is what kind of hands call both bets flop and turn that we beat if he raises river, I think ZERO. He could float some in that flop but calling turn as well is not that common if he has air. If he has value he is not mini raising like "PAY me please"

Anyway I appreciate the comments and will actually think about shipping it next time.

Totally disagree. It's not "his board" at all as we have more or less as much 8x and 7x (he should only have K8s and K7s more for a lot of garbages with it) and we have all the OP. We can attack agressively.
This combo would do a rather weird x/r. (And anyway if it was "his board" we wouldn't want to x/r anything.)
I mean, why not, the hand can make a good cbet or a good x/c or a good x/r but it's not really because of the reasons you said. And giving a free card could be a little troublesome.

@diabloykiss : note that the coach only talks about your river size as played. I keep thinking I'd make it bigger since the begin and save the trouble. It's weird to bet that small flop and turn on that spot moreover with that combo.

yeah see that's the issue is that you THINK you don't KNOW
and the better the odds are, the more you need to know rather than think what he is doing
And when someone doesn't have a full stack and looks like a donk it's kind hard to know and he can show up with random stuff
that's why I'd fold vs a jam
and probably call vs this? It could be some random Qx here even when he does the small raise

But you're right that when you look at his combos not many bluffs make sense played this way , that still stands. But so does us not knowing wtf he's doing :)

Hmm i dislike the 1/3 bet OTF, i usually raise that amount to clueless villains with high fold to cbtet%.
You have FD plus 2 overcards, thats what, around 15 outs?

Edit OTT i would have bet 2/3 or pot.
Dunno about the river, Im curious so maybe i would call

I think the turn makes a god check. How often do broadways float this spot without any decent backdoor equity. Most of the float combos are blocked. Floating random overs is probably floating to wide on this board.
