Thank you Harrier and Vorpal. I´m looking for the donut and the Duff . :f_grin: :f_drink:
I was going though quite a lot of things: Scan for viruses, Software updates, Scan of the harddrive, ... Without any result :f_ugly: Sometimes, I got a Blue Screen with the message "Kernel Security check failure. :f_mad: Finally, I was going through all device drivers to check if they are up to date. And indeed, some of them were not. Now, they are and the laptop is doing well again. :f_thumbsup:
By the way, Prim is still grinding.

@HomerSimpson111 For drivers you have tools to keep them up to date like Driver Booster ("there is even a freeware version") and few others, it goes much faster to check drivers and keep them up to date that way rather to go threw them one by one ...

I never found one of those I trusted -- do you like this one?

My nephew worked for a company that sold one of these tools, and even he didn't think it was worth the money.

A little ITM here, a little ITM there........

Pretty ugly session with a little loss. KK didn´t hold up a single time, got AA cracked again 3 times. Anyway, placed 9 th in one 180man SnG-MTT, 4th in a 45man and 5th in another 45man, came ITM in some little 0,55 $ hyper turbo, ITM in the Hot 0,55 $, ITM in some 90man turbo. The nicest thing about my todays session was that I won a 5€ ticket in a satty on Titan :f_love:

The rest was a little sh!tty _ugly:. Hands didn´t hold up or jammed into monsters/better hands or was totally card dead, found a decent hand as shortie, jammed and then someone woke up with an even more "decent" hand _rolleyes: Besides, had two set-over-set-coolers and a two-pair-cooler blind vs blind, and one flush vs flush cooler.

I wouldn´t say my session sucked, but it wasn´t pretty for sure .... _rolleyes:

@VorpalF2F I didn't say i would or did pay for it, i already don't when it comes to poker tools :sifflote:
But i can say that one is efficient , only once you install it untick options for unwanted tools it might ask to install during the setup.
Once installed , in the setup remove the autorun on windows startup , the auto-analysis and the auto-update that way it doesn't overload the OS.In the install directory go to the pub folder and rename the .exe files to .exe.old so it won't display annoying promotion ads ....

I installed it to see what it would report.
The scan reported that my video and audio drivers was out of date, along with 12 system board drivers.
I then went to the manufacturer's website and confirmed that there were updates available for video and audio systems.
Intel's own scan tools however reported that everything was indeed up to date, which leaves me wondering what would have happened if I had let it go ahead and update all that system stuff.

In any case, I've uninstalled it.

Cheers,
VS

Unfortunately, I've already uninstalled Driver Booster.
However, here are two of the ones I noted and remembered.
:diamond:  Intel(R) 4th Gen Core processor DRAM Controller - 0C00 : my driver version is 9.4.0 and is dated 2013.07.25 Driver Booster's listing was 4.x and dated 2017. If I use the "Update Driver" button in Windows Device Manager, the driver is updated to 10.x and is dated 2016 -- I rolled it back.
:diamond:  Intel(R) 8 Series/C220 Series PCI Express Root Port #1 - 8C10 : Same version number and date as above. I did not attempt to update this driver.

It concerns me that there are (at least) two different "updates" for my drivers with no indication of what the changes are. Since my system is working fine, I think it best not to mess with it.

When it comes time to make a change, I usually get my drivers directly from the component manufacturer.

Cheers,
VS

@ VorpalF2F Thanks for the feedback. i asked in case i encounter the same kind of chipset in order to pay attention to it.
So far i never had big troubles with it and used it on laptops , customized computers and servers but for sure it's always better to do it by hand unless many computers.
Had two time a problem with it due to a chinese device that was a clone of a well known brand name and the second one for a watercooling device that had window's driver signature problem (Win10 can be painfull for unsigned drivers).

Since my system is working fine, I think it best not to mess with it.

Indeed as long a system is stable no need to update anything unless in an industrial's environment to avoid security holes.

Sorry Prim we hijacked a bit the blog :sorry:

ITMs and junk hands

So, here we go with back to topic, which may be a bit less interesting than the IT, but that´s the way it is. Grinded many MTTs on Stars, Party and Titan. But my whole session today was terribly boring _ugly: I was mostly card-dead: junk-hands, totally missed flops _mad: Lost many hands with which I dominated pf but not anymore when the river fell. :f_ugly:

Anyways, I could make a couple of ITMs and come out with a tiny mini-winning _ugly:

2€ Bounty Hunter (Titan): 15th place, 5 K.O.s
1€ 200 € Gtd. (Titan): 20th place
1.10 $ PKO 1,5 K Gtd. (Stars): 60th place, 1 K.O.
1.10 $ Opening Edition (Partypoker): 13th place
1.10 $ Early Edition (Partypoker): 17th place
