The biggest leak is Pre-Preflop. Just quit playing cash games on iPoker already!

Flop check is ok

I would pot turn. Then vs the raise, you are unlikely to be getting freerolled because he didnt bet the flop. Im stacking off... plus, the guy is only 40bb deep. Its not like you are going to get so owned if you are being freerolled.

As played, IDK... I guess fold is fine. He could be raising the turn with 77 without redraws/straights because he doesnt care with his small stack.

Great hand. I think it's very good not to reraise on the turn because you can get freerolled except vs aggro villains ofc. So after you call otr vs a reg I'd call cuz obv he doesn't have sets and is trying to make you fold. Vs this guy who looks passive after 10 hands is weird. I have not looked at result and I think he can have 97+fd on the turn or overplaying 77, maybe he had something like TT+fd otf that decides to slowplay but I don't think a passive guy pots bare str8 on the river and I don't think he's bluffing because if he had fd+JQK or something why not bet flop so yeah shitty spot but vs this guy I think it's fold cuz on the first glance seems to make no sense but he can still have some fh combos in his hand. // looked at results now sad that you folded now we won't know :P ////// ah 40bb deep turn stackoff yeah I didn't see that

I think bet/fold something like half pot would make sense -- you can get called by two pair and trips, and get away fairly cheaply if they jam their full house. You can even get flat called by non-nut boats.

I'm curious to hear what the experts think though -- especially regarding whether taking a passive line OOP is a good idea.

As played, it is definitely a fold OTR.

Cheers,
VS

100bb deep donk river 1/2 seems great idea to me, good point.

Thanks for your input, guys. Villain was unknown. He was pretty new at the table and hadn´t seen any hands from him yet.

I think on this flop he wouldn´t check 99 or TT, maybe 33 or so? Besides we hold a T.

His raise on the turn doesn´t really make sense but at those low limits there are many fishes and many of them just bet/raise according to their cards. I have no idea of Villains bluffing tendencies or anything, as mentioned: He´s unknown.

Something like 97xx could make sense checking the flop and then totally overplaying turn? 77xx makes sense as well. I didn´t wanna re-raise turn because in PLO there are still tons of re-draws against me which will not fold for sure. Not at this limit at least. Villain likes his hand and won´t fold, that´s clear. On the river the board pairs and something like 97xx, 77xx or 33xx (or rarely 99xx?) just got there and my hand is crushed.

9Txx doesn´t really make sense, why should he raise a turn with a 7? 89 xx is unlikely too because I think he would have bet flop with his draw and besides we hold a 8, so there are less 98xx combos around. Same goes for 78xxx. Doesn´t really make sense.

So, somehow this 7 on the turn helped him. We are multiway and I don´t think he´s bluffing on this 7. Somehow he got there.

I just assumed: the turn helped Villain and on a paired board, there could be many FH combos around. Villain must have got there and I don´t think there are many combos we can beat here but way more combos which just have us crushed.

I use to say :"when you don't understand a move in low limit you'd better fold" .😁
OTT, I bet pot or at least 3/4 (and just call if raised). But OTR i bet 1/3 Vs unknown, whatever my hand strength is.

Tartine, that´s a great one! That´s really good! Very often fishes just bet according their hand strength, what you see is what you get.

F.e. a BIG BET on the river means (according to my experiences) very often (not always of course) that Villain somehow got there with some random hand.

How about the most logical reasoning: he has straight on the turn, and that's why he raises.

You have the nuts, and you just call. Why?

No redraws.
If you re-pot this, you're still going to be faced with the river bet.
What cards do you want to see on the river?
A 6 or (maybe) a Q that isn't a heart don't hurt you.
There's a fair number of bricks, too I guess.

Well the amount of bad/good rivers doesn't change whether turn is raised or called, so you will have to play them anyway.

In general at these stakes (PLO5 and lower) a lot of opponents make a lot of really bad calls, because they have no clue of concept of pot odds. Therefore you can play your strong hands in really face-up manner. If this was played in a bit higher stakes against a bit decent player and with 100bb stacks, it would lead to a bit nasty situation where hero's hand is face up and river would be SPR 0,75. But even then the nastiness would only happen IF opponent has the balls to pull off a bluff when SPR is less than one and he knows hero has at least the straight. I would say there are too many if's compared to many situations where hero just prints money when he pots the nuts.

But in here CO would be all-in if hero pots. So the only reason not to shove nuts on the turn is if hero has read Jeff Hwang's book and misunderstood to use the supertight concept of not shoving nuts from Full Ring nutpeddling in modern 6max. Which is a HUGE error.

Oh boy!

Ok, Kyyberi says, I should have jammed turn. Yeah, guess should haved and then let´s see what the river brings, I was too coward to jam turn. And did not think about the rivercards which can maybe threaten my hand. Wanted to play "safe and low in variance"

Guess that´s a "boo" for me?

Well this is not format to wait for river to be "safe" with the earlier street nuts as boards so often changes. In worst case scenario villain has same hand with redraw but even that is not horrendous with small stack depth. Villain could easily have smaller straight or some set and you will be in great shape.

Rule of thumb: Unless really deep, it can't be a bad thing to get the money in with the nuts.
