Open limp works well when oponent offten checks back and is generally passiv(minbet works way better with passiv players) or for traping.Its every russian favorite playstyle, limp and min cbet and it works in many cases, problem is that this is the only stradegy they have. For me its the easyest playstyle to exploit as most of them dont know how to play postflop, have no idea how to play oop etc. There's one more thing that they love to do-min3bet oop. I see this wierd play offten, still dont know why is it good tho. I dont say that openlimp is bad, i mix limping and minbeting if necessary but if you only raise with strong hands and limp weak ones, you are like golden fish.

Yeah never use min3bet in normal situations. Its ok as isolation versus nonallin or allin shove from short stack but thats only situation pretty much.

With bit deeper stacks limping is good way to counter aggro opponents as it allow you to get away from hand more cheaply versus shove and allow to continue versus small raise. So in short you can play wider range by not giving as good resteal opportunity. Well with 10bb we get to play wider range as well compared to just shoving but obviously need to be some balance on it.

Weird line with A6o. Hard to see villain folding 8x+ versus turn raise. Should be just check-call and evaluate river. You beat all his bluffs (or sensible ones) and dont block any of those so its not bad bluff catcher overall. Personally would open limp preflop often or if raising use 2.5-3bb size. Versus real nit minraise could be optimal.

I suppose villain most likely had some sort of JsTs type of draw if he is decent. Wont make much sense to call river with J high.

He whas maniac and range whas any2. There are 2 kinds of maniacs. First one is "dont care, all in all the way" fast in and out. I mark them purple but this one tries to bluff, rep nuts in every hand etc-red note. They dont make "normal" bets if they hit, overbet or sudden slowplay. He's flop bet is to "reasonable". Call it intuition if you want.
I like to minbet against players like this, they shove alot with semistrong staff like 9Q etc and reraise with Ax-,pairs etc. They attack all the limps pre and am littlebit to deep to limpshove/flip. Though i dont see myself folding against maniac pre with any Ax never ever. Its just cheaper to minbet, not sure its +ev
