Good thing i didn't start yet to play TheDeal. I'll start to bet on it Tonight.
Tought it wouldn't be won before X-Mas , sounds like it's getting closer to it.
If it doesn't fall today or tomorrow i'll wait until the 31 or the 1st.

Best of Skills & Luck @ Tables,
OldSchoolPapa.

It's great that I didn't spend my coins on tickets - my requirement for a gold chest has jumped up from 1150 to 4500 , so I'd be starving for coins if I didn't have over 200 saved up.

That's a crazy increase, but than you get hopefully a decent reward if you will earn the chest.

Cost for chest doesn't really matter, all of them give the same around 4% rakeback. Which is stupid.

Somehow they got the impression that random rewards would be attractive.
I would much rather they just paid it once a week at whatever the rate they decide.

The chest thing seems childish and annoying -- at least to me.

Speaking of annoying, this poor bugger got a spin, and won the minimum.

All the best,
VS

Indeed, but time will tell if the jackpot will burst before New Years Eve.

Chests are good for recreationals. Anything that is random is good for recreationals. Cos then they have a chance to hit the jackpot. They don't understand or care about the odds. Like here in Finland, national lottery has RTP (return to players) of around 40% and still people play it for millions every week. So when there is an add for Chest: "win up to 5000!!!" they think that they can win it. Recreationals don't go to the terms and conditions and check that the chance to get it is one in a million or so.

That's indeed true, but if youplay it avery 12 hours 1 time you get at least a better reward if you would buy something in the shop.

the absolute lowest return I received was $0.19/coin, and the highest $3.09.
Both of these were rather odd situations though.

In the high case, my net cost was 1 coin, and the payout happened within 12 hours. It was a $3.06 payout, with a jackpot of 193,000

In the low case, I had started too early, and althought the jackpot was 229,000, the payout was only $3.89

The average ROI over the time I kept track was $0.059 / coin.

Most items in the store work out to 1¢ per coin.

Cheers,

If you play it every 12 hours without forgetting it then it is very profitable indeed to play the deal, jackpots higher than 200k for me. Otherwise you re better off buying the standard 1cent per starscoin rewards.

Yup, 6.14. It doubled up my Stars balance :f_biggrin:, plus, I've finally got a chance to spend almost all the remaining starscoins on spingo tickets and ran above EV there as well.

That's too bad. :f_frown:

It happened to me as well some time this spring, when the jackpot was also pretty high. No blackout in my case, but it was taken down on the one day when I forgot to play.

But come to think of it, the loss of a few StarsCoins is pretty negligible. And while the cash windfall from the winnings is always nice and certainly a good use for those dead weight StarsCoins, it's also nothing more than a few bucks.

I just had a look to see what was available in the rewards store.
All the cash & ticket options are exactly 1 penny per point -- even the charity items.

The clothing prices seem reasonable -- at least for a Canadian living in Vancouver, where prices are rather high in general.

In the past, I've used StarsCoin to buy $3.30 tournament tickets to play the 2-7 Single draw PKOs

Oh, and while I was typing this, a player got a spin chance -- and nailed $500 again.

Cheers,

I always just spend my StarsCoins on swag from the store. I was never too interested in the direct cash prizes, except, of course, for those old ones from around 2013, which were more or less free once unlocked.

I don't even care if some of the stuff is technically overpriced, it's not like I spend those coins on anything else.

And maybe some people might find the free sports bets and casino bonuses useful, but I doubt they have a dramatic advantage over direct cash conversions, if any. The Deal is most likely still one of the best ways to cash out your coins.

Actually, now that the JP is tiny again, the best way of spending coins is on satellites to Winter series (or to MTTs in general) because coin sats are rakeless, while real money ones always have at least $0.01 rake since recently, even the $0.02+0.01 ones, lol.
