Hiya,

My name is Kevin, 33 years and i live in Amsterdam.

I have been playing poker for many many years, some months a lot and some months i didn't touch it but it has always been in my mind.

Never really had confidence in life, so i didn't have it in poker.. Always gave up after a couple of months trying. Allot has changed in my life the last 2 years, stopped with video games, got a GF, stopped smoking weed and enjoying life now. So time for a new challenge, beating NL2!

I read everywhere NL2 isn't hard, just a lot of volume, value betting and table selecting but in the past there was always a mental blockage and i think i worked that out now. (and sitting high on the couch staring at the TV for days didn't really help either :- )

I have 2 goals for 2019 :
- Beating NL2 6 max! So i can prove to myself i can do it!
- Playing live poker for the first time ever!

I don't really have allot of free time, full time job, demanding GF but i have 4 weekends each months for myself where i can dedicate my time for Poker. Also i use the public transportation each day so i can read articles/forum and play some poker on my phone just to stay busy with poker each day.

First thing i am going to do is watch/read everything from No Limit Beginners Course Coaching by confidant91. I think this is a really good start for me and its not to complex. In the early days i was reading way to advanced stuff which only confused me, so starting of with the basics and keeping at the basics is enough for NL2 i think.

My main leaks i can identify now :
- Playing to tight/scared.
- Knowing i am beat but still want to take the gamble. ( Knowing the opponent has the straigth/flush because he is overbetting like hell all of the sudden but still want to have a look to see if he really has it)

Currently i have $22.53 on Pokerstars.

Bit of a long story, didn't want to write such a story but when i start typing it just keeps coming..

Hey, 11 buy ins (bankroll management) is too aggressive for you. Go with 25 it will make you feel more confident while playing and you wont have to worry about going broke. Otherwise gl!

A little update about yesterday and today.

I created my HUD in HM2 with the following stats :

VP PFR AG
ST FST CB FCB
F3B 3B WTSD

I think those are the only stats i will need on NL2. And most of them i can prolly not use because of the sample size required for a accurate read. But i like it and its not to big :)

Found a old txt file with the 6max range i used before, i think its a good base to use but not really sure :

Also Watched and have read the first lesson of the Course, so that is nice. Gonna work out my notes and compare the preflop ranges with the once above.

Also played some poker! :- ) Most is just 1 table to get used to poker again since ih ave not played for a while on my laptop (i did on my phone). Opened up a 2nd table after 200 hands.

Gonna walk over my hands, there was 1 that got me confused, see if i can solve it myself or else post this on the forum! :) I dont wanna just copy paste it and get an answer.

Tomorrow my last free day, gonna go trough another lesson once i have worked lesson 1 out and play some more poker :)

Today will be a short day, have to do some grocery shopping, go to my hometown (live with my gf) when she gets back from work and then pppparty!

Checked my last couple of sessions (not allot of play so was pretty fast :- ) ) and saw some beginner leaks i need to work on. Hero call again on 1 occasion, not valuebetting enough (getting called flop and turn and not betting river when getting checked to when having pair/good kicked, afraid of reraised ), just calling a limp w J J and not 3 betting. So not really worth posting this.

Also have read Lesson 2 and watched the VOD.

It was a good valuable day, since i discovered some leaks, worked on my game and got to play some poker. Not allot of hands, just started 1table and after 20 mins started a 2nd.
