Getting F**** by pokerstrategy

Sad to hear this happened to you.
The linking process happens automatically and since you forgot to fill some digits of your nickname the account probably was not linked correctly. If your account is not linked, pokerstrategy will not see the amounts you have raked and can't give you any points based on that.

My personal opinion as a normal member of this community is that when you say you got f***** by PSGY, you are probably overreacting a little bit. In my opinion it is already a positive thing that you got your account tracked at all.
I totally understand your frustration. I would be angry as well. But I think that posting about this and trying to warn people about the "poor quality service" is not very nice. Let's not forget the root cause of this problem...

Bonus is given by Betfair, so your playing is releasing the bonus.

The root cause is not just my mistake it is also that an account on betfair with the exact(!) nickname as mine (while it is brandnew) somehow is linked to PS. Thats not on my part, that doesn't make any sense at all. If it was updated after I correct my mistake I wouldn't be mad at all. This is not an incident, I think PS does very little to compensate their customers in this kind of situations.
I made a deposit with the right bonuscode and played while paying rake, so PS at least can account for a new member to betfair. And @kyyberi it took so long before my own nickname was 'free' again -whatever that means because I still don't understand how my brandnew nickname could already be linked- that I now barely have time to play for it.

I don't care about being nice anymore, to any standard this is just poor service. And if my account was already 'taken' how come they can't just track how many points I earned and just give them to me? Should be really easy to figure out if it was really taken and if it was not taken but just some bug then PS should definately feel responsible for it.

Think about it what you want, this is not the first time PS does nothing to assist or to compensate me and people should also know about the bad experiences/reviews on this site.

Out of curiosity, how did you correct the mistake? Did you contact psgy support or how you changed your nickname?

As Kyyberi said, the bonus is given by Betfair. If you played there, it should release the bonus. It shouldn't have anything to do with whether you are linked to psgy or not.

I know, I'm not talking about bonuspoints or whatever I am talking about strategy points. The only reason I open an account through this site to begin with. I tried to correct it by updating my nickname, then I got the error that it already was in use - which is insane because it was a few days old - and then I had to wait long before it finally could be 'used' again - whatever that means.

If it was updated right when I did the update and all my points before that time would be lost I wouln't complain at all. This is the 3th time I don't get my strategy points and can't watch all the videos again so there is no incentive for me to use this site anymore. I just don't understand why it is so troubling to just compensate somebody with just strategy points, CRM wise very -EV.

Anyways, srry for the title and the bad review but I'm done. I will play on nolimitcoinpoker since it's rakefree and I don't have to go through so much trouble to get something in return for my rake, even if it were just strategy videos. Do with this thread what you like.

Quite difficult to comment on that. I just have a lot of questions. Like when did you register to Betfair, when did you notice you input a wrong username, did you contact our support after things didn't work out.

Then on 2nd of January you said that you barely got time to complete the bonus but the bonus that is offered by Betfair will be released even if you are not tracked. Now you said you are not talking about the bonus but the strategy points, but you do have a silver status so you have got some strategy points? And if we now talk about these strategy points, I don't get why you barely got time to collect them? The status resets at the beginning of the month so you have a lot of time.

With 9 outs of the 46 remaining cards you need 19,6% equity. He bets 435 in a pot of 1.740 after the turn and than you need 25@ equity to make the call profitsble and was folding better.

Hhhhmmmm......... Maybe that's why the signup pages are stuffed with those "copy and paste your nick" or "make absolutely sure that your nick is correct" type of sentences ???

And have you thought of the possibility that your "brand new" nick was used by someone else years ago ?
