I have to be honest: If you're not trolling, and this is really how you perceive the game to be played, you can be absolutely positive that nobody on earth misunderstands preflop play (or any play for that matter) more than you. Agree 100% with OP. Problem is AK is not a fav against any pocket pairs and this deep we dont expect the BB to have AQ or worse (unless we have a specific read). So lesson learned, always shove in the first place instead of 3-betting

AKo must be played very very carefully.. my personal opinion is it's rather likely to mislead you and lose chips/cash than win you whatever pot.. definitely not my favorite hand:gl:

I don't even think it's a hero fold given the situation of calling a 4bet shove after a 3bet. As double2 correctly states much of the equity with AK is generated through fold equity and we don't really want to be calling these huge shoves without it. Even if villain has all combos of QQ AK we don't quite have the equity to call with 39% equity. Assuming villain has zero bluffs which I think is a fair assumption.

vs QQ+,AKs,AKo 39% equity
vs QQ+,AKs 33% equity
vs QQ+ 30% equity
vs KK+,AKs 25% equity
vs KK+ 18% equity

So vs any value range villain shoves here we are in not good to terrible shape when we make a call.

Thing is, nothing is black and white in poker. Yes, QQ are third premium, yet they just flip against AK, and against KK you even have less equity with QQ then with AK.
I agree, you can’t play it like AA or KK, but you also need to think twice before you fold it. I tend to play it just like QQ, as in my mind those hands are nearly equal.

So, in case like this, against early/middle position open I just call with AKo. If we’re squeezed I fold against 3bet<3%, call 3bet 3%-5%, and back raise 3bet>5%. What are your thouts about it?

In the original post, SB squeezed AKo vs 1 raise and 1 call, and faced a 200BB shove.
While it is quite possible BB is simply collecting dead money, it makes no sense for SB to risk it all here.
Part of the benefit of big hands is implied odds -- in other words get a stack from villain when we hit.
Here we need to get it in pre, so we put our own stack at risk.

Assuming MP and BTN are playing top 25% type stacks, we can presume that some of our outs are dead.

If 1 A and 1 K are dead, then this is what it looks like:

SB     56.47%  53.76%   2.71% { AKo }

I have folded AKs many times preflop when I put my opponent to the KK+ range. It usually happens when I play longer at the table and really tight player reraise hard. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you have if you read correctly what opponents have but that's hardest thing to do and you need time to spend at the table so you can more less know with what ranges players at the table plays.

Right now I feel like just loser flopping AA all the time lol, regardless of my position, game type or buy-in or how I played them, no exaggeration....it’s been cracked like 6 times in a row now....feels like I’m being set up lol.

Earlier on gg spin and gold $5, I had a feeling to just fold It after losing with it the previous few times, 2 players before went all in preflop, and I just couldn’t let myself fold it, and guess what, it gets cracked with a flush on the flop, arghh. Next time I’m going to just fold them for sure 😂
