Hello guys,

it would be nice to get some comments to the played line.
Pre: I called twice because of nice implies if i hit my set.....

Flop: Middle set but board is quiet drawy. I check because villain has got the initiative (could be a mistake on this board??)

Turn: Villain checked back the flop, but the flush completes. So i decide to bet small to hold all the air from villain in the hand. vs. a raise i would have folded...

River: What to do now? Villain will have got not many flushes and no QQ+ maybe some Qx hands....
So betting small to get a call with some marginal hands?
Check / call to let villain bluff?

Not sure what kind of villain you are dealing with, but most of the time I would protect my hand on the turn with at least a half pot bet. Checking the flop seems fine against the aggressor or he isn't Cbetting often. The river would be a value bet and if he would shove you can still fold. I don't think he will shove with worse.

Cheers,

Check/calling turn is meh imo. It is going to be tough when river comes an A,K spade and he polarizes for instance.
The smaller the size you use OTT the more it should be value, so I believe that 1/4 has you did is probably ok.
Then, value bet bigger OTR again, or check/call on some scare card (I believe he has more bluffs than value hands if the hand played out that way).
The thing is, when he checks flop you can basically eliminate QQ, JJ, 99, QJs. Any weaker top pair probably checks/back if you check river. Any Jx probably folds if you bet.

Were you hoping to Check/Raise the Flop? I would not have simply Check/Call because of the two Spades. Just in case Villain is on a Flush Draw, I am going to make him pay for it especially with my Set. I would not have lead Bet the Flop because I really want Villain to bet because this is a fine Check/Raise scenario against aggressor and holding a Set. SDK1987 Turn/River advice is excellent.

Definately bet the turn bigger. don't want his As getting there. i'd personally just bomb it 2.50$ish, when he x's back he's almost telling us he doesn't have spades so can exploitively bet bigger.
I'd probably just ship the river.

As played, bet the river.

I'd go 55% turn tank long all in river here, don't like pot much I'd like to keep both ranges relatively wide here
As played something like 3.98 sounds good.

Middle Set on drawy board in squeeze pot, where ranges are tight...
OTT there is many ugly rivers card, so bet big 75%+.
OTR is bet.

First of all, do you have stats of UTG and CO. I would 3bet UTG with JJ, cause people on this level love to squezze with all kinds of BS. Bigger bet on turn and bet half pot river. I dont think he have a flush cause you block some of nuts flushes like TJ, AJ,KJ, J9. I believe he would bet AKss and ATss. So, this is either AQ, AA, KK, AK or some bullshit hand (possible A4ss, A5ss).
