I bubbled both of my SNGs on Titan tonight as well, including some cracked AA. At least we're in this together.

Me too! Bubbled in about 4 SnGs, once AA got cracked by T2.
At least we know, we´re not alone!

Of course, we ALL know this. But it´s not nice anyway. Especially when you run bad for a long time, it´s not easy to keep up a good mental game. I use to nit-fold a couple of hands which I should jam until tilt is over. I need about 10 minutes to come down.

It indeed isn't easy. But I think a good start would be to not constantly talk about it in your blog. That's pretty easy to do and could be a nice first step towards improving mental game.
All this talk about how bad you run only reinforces the bad feelings you get imo (and probably even costs you money this way!)

Harrier, you´re right of course! Checked my hands in ICMizer, most of them okay (+EV), only few -EVs, but not BIG -EV just slightly like -0,05 or -0,1. Yeah, I should forget my downswing before and see every session as new beginning.![]()
.
You should take you ICMizer feedback as a confirmation of your good play. Thats what I try to do using Snowie when I run bad in cash games (and not only then)

That´s true but somehow I should discribe my sessions? I use to describe how my session went and when it went bad, then ...well...... ?
Yea you're right. So maybe just briefly mention you ran into some coolers and suckouts and don't go into further detail? Keeping the focus on things you can control, for example the way you play hands, will be much better for your mental game imo.
You already said you checked your hands with ICMizer and that you made mostly +EV plays, so why not focus more on that?
I know you've been running really bad, but I genuinely think focusing this much on your bad luck is really holding you back, even if you're just playing recreationally. I mean, if you're playing recreationally anyway, why let bad luck get in the way of having fun?

You´re absolutely right! I will try this! ♠_thumbsup:
I can´t believe it ...!!!!
EVEN MORE COCK CHAFER GRUBS!!!
Can´t believe it, guys! I can´t believe it! They killed two tomatoe plants! ♠_cry:♠_cry:♠_cry:♠_cry:♠_cry:
Yes, this is a reason to spit in the blog!
Could probably save the peperoni, but two tomatoe plants are dead! ♠_cry:♠_cry: Those
ate the roots! So, now I´m busy in the garden, killing pests! Took the cock chafer grubs, put it on a plate and offer those ugly, nasty things to the birds! The birds will do the killing for me and I offer them a delicious meal! ♠_thumbsup: Should have thought of this earlier instead of flushing them down the toilet, I could have served a fancy buffet to the birds. But it´s still enough for a good dinner! ♠_thumbsup:
Let´s see when I´m finished with pest-killing and gardening, hope to play a little bit in the evening...

I'd say it depends. It's true that you should focus on the long run and it is always important to think of the long-term EV of your decisions, instead of being blinded by the results of individual sessions, good or bad. But when it comes to putting in more volume in order to even out the luck-factor, I'm not sure if that's a good solution. Bigger sessions can increase stress, which may only amplify the impact of tilt-inducing situations. And if you're prone to tilt problems anyway, having to focus on five more tables while playing in monkey-mode won't do any good.
In general, I'm opposed to the idea of "volume for volume's sake", especially for non-professional players - let's be real, it's only a card game. There are more important things to focus your energy on. And even for pros, it's all about maximizing your hourly EV, which involves many factors, obviously including volume, but there is always a point of diminishing returns.

I agree with that, I had a similar experience when I was blogging about my own session results years ago. Besides putting more focus on EV and long-term results, maybe you could consider writing about how well you managed to keep up your mental game? That area may be one of your biggest leaks, your actual game seems pretty solid. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should stop trying to improve your actual game.
Also, you sure have some creative ways of getting rid of grubs...
Harrier, THIS IS A MEGA COOL IDEA!!!!
I can write about how I felt during my session, about my thoughts and mental game challenges and just mention how it went. Maybe I get some good ideas and advices how to overcome some negative thoughts?
Can put some hands in, the "rotten eggs of the day" (if any, fortunately there weren´t really rotten eggs anymore), my game ...etc.

If you're overall a winning player, volume will help -- if not it makes it worse.
The old joke is "We lose a dollar on every sale, but we make it up in volume"
All the best,

Two trolls at the final table..!!! ♠_o:♠_o:♠_o:♠_o:
Decided to hit the tables today and to have a fun-evening. I played MTT on Titan und Party. On Party I played the Bounty Battles, on Titan I played a Bounty Hunter, a Deep Stack Turbo und the German Freeroll. Also convinced fellow-reg Harrier to play the freeroll with me. And we both made it to the FT!! Harrier placed 7th after a bad cooler and I could finally take a 2nd place for 40€. We both played well and it does really good to make a winning and to FT a tournament. It shows me that I´m not such a bad poker player and that I can win, if the cards are on my side once in a while.
It was a great fun-evening and this really did good to my soul!
Tomorrow and on Monday: no poker!

lol, donkament!
Seriously though, great game tonight!
It was actually an entertaining rail as well, once I was out, including a truly nail-biting heads-up battle. Too bad you didn't get the cards for a well-deserved 1st place, but an amazing result nonetheless.
And good to know that these tourneys run every Saturday at this time, I believe we'll see each other again, hopefully at another final table. ♠_wink:
