Yes, it was really not the greatest idea ;)

But to be fair: I´m not so much better: Gonna play tennis at over 30°C - I hate this every f*** time (excuse me)!! Heat wave and training! :spit:

But I will take it slow and easy ... _smile:

I actually think that killing yourself in the gym that time was the best thing you could do. Less is more mostly yeah, but you need to step up from time to time to touch the limit. And considering how much mental sht Constantin had in that time period he had to work it out of his system imo plus, you know, not doing squats to the point of not being able to walk the next day just makes you a pussy :P

Don´t wanna hijack poor Constantins blog with medical stuff, but from the medical perspective it was not a great idea to exercise until you puke and drop to the floor and then even continue. :sifflote:

Sounded like a win win for me either way :profit:

I think I kow why it happened that time. It was too damn hot. It's always to damn hot. The a/c needs to run 24/24 for the temperature to be ok. That time I didn't turn it on and it was getting a bit too suffocating in there.
So I have no idea how you are able to play Tennis at 30+°C, Prim, I'd literally die.

Constantin, it´s really not fun and I take it slower than usual of course. Before hitting the tennis court I drink tea like crazy, during exercise I drink tea like crazy and I make sure to get enough mineral salts, I´m craving like heck for salty and spicy foods after work-out anyway. It´s not the healthiest thing to do of course but the body is able to adjust to exercising in this heat. Sometimes I just cannot cancel or postpone a training or a match, even though I would love to. So I make sure I eat healthy foods, salty foods, enough carbs and hydrate my body very well. On the tennis court of course I wear a cap and centimeter-thick layers of sunscreen :mdr:. We use to take more and longer breaks and I don´t run after every single ball like I use to. But it´s torture anyway but not doing sports is no solution either. :mdr: I´m just taking sports easy and relaxed and if possible I always prefer cycling or swimming when it´s hot (but it´s not always possible).

Hello there!
This probably will be my last update for some time, as I expect nothing worth mentioning will happen in the next few months, but I might be wrong.

Everything is decent on all fronts and 6 months of the year have passed so in the next 6 months I plan to pick up the pace. Everything is in place for it and I've been preparing, now I just gotta stick to the script, which will be difficult at times, but the alternative is unacceptable to me.

The $100K challenge is at 25% completion rate.

Put on me like 5 kilos in 70 days since I started exercising again, obviously not all is muscle. Tweaked my nutrition, regime and so on A LOT to make sure I am getting the best results from it. I estimate it'll take 2 years to build some serious muscle and see serious results. But I gotta make sure that I am consistent af and am doing everything right, as I stumbled on many cases of people with abysmal results after 2 years. It would be a shame to put all this effort and not reap all the potential rewards afterwards.
Also decided to move from training all the muscle groups from once a week to twice a week. Finished my test period of the new "system" by which I structure the activities that I deem productive and finally have structured my wake-sleep cycle in such a way that I am happy with how things are developing (I had really serious problem with this one. I've tried many, many ways, and nothing worked good for me). Hopefully taking care of all the logistics surrounding my activities I'll be able to finally have the output of 10+ productive hours a day with the consistency that I aim for.

My nofap game was strong as well in the last couple of months. Set a new record of 30 days, and I really like this habit a lot. I have my own speculations that extend beyond current research, but without diving deep into them I can tell that doing it is just better than not doing it. I can feel it.

And here is a song.
It's interesting that this is the first girl whose music I like.
I wonder why

And now I'll let myself out.

Gl at the tables and I hope you make good profit and cev this month!

my reactions can't possibly change the results from the past. But on the other hand if my reactions are bad, then it can make this moment, the one in which the reaction is occurring, and my future worse. There is literally no upside to having bad reactions to something that already happened.

I love r/wallstreetbets

Some genius retard found a glitch in the way Robinhood handles leverage using options and managed to loose more than $52k in a single day on a pretty insane bet while having only $2k himself. A few days later another guy decided to use the infinite money exploit this guy found, and got himself a nice position of 1,000,000$ on just $4k.
And the funny part is that just 9 days ago another autist from wallstreetbets had a -782% in a single day. I thought it would take some serious time for someone to top that. Guess I was wrong :f_biggrin:

Spoiler

I always loved the outrageous trades these guys were doing. But the content they are providing lately is just on another level. I love these guys.

PS: the same guy who managed to be -700% like 9 days ago - a week later was down again an outrageous amount :D :D :D

Hello bear gang!

I've been pretty busy lately.
In fact I've been so focused on a few projects of mine that I was putting in them all the time I could spare.
That left me vulnerable and slow to adapt to the current developing circumstances, and so I got rekt with the rest of the market.

It's just a scratch to be honest, I'm not sure about the exact extent of the damage as I do all my calculations and assessment at the end of every month, but I'm pretty sure my net worth was only slightly affected, even with my extremely aggressive strategy that I intend to maintain until being much older and richer, then I can see more conservative and defensive plays becoming the norm. So although quite stupid, I must be doing at least something right.

What I lost is still a sh*t ton of money for people in my country though. So It stung for the first 2 days lol, especially considering that I've learned enough to be able to react at least to some extent if being on top of things rather than passive. Looking back though, this doesn't fail to put a smile on my face. It got me thinking, and this process usually leads to good things for me on the long run. But on that maybe another time. Right now let's focus on more pressing concerns.

Things aren't looking that good. Some might think that Covid-19 isn't that big of a deal, but facts don't lie. Things are starting to look decent in China, if the numbers are real, and I'm not implying that they aren't. In the West though currently it isn't that great.
And what's even more of a tragedy is that those numbers are people. Humans just like you and me, going on about their lives and all of a sudden BOOM. Makes you think about life, doesn't it? My condoleances to everyone affected in any way by this.

But back to those numbers, the trend doesn't look good. I wake up everyday hoping to see the "flattening of the curve". If we keep the current trend for more than a few weeks, the situation will be extremely bad.
And to convince you of that I hereby present exhibit A:

Spoiler

*excluding China

So take things seriously. Draconic measures are better than completely loosing control over the situation and causing a systemic overload.

And now to the entertaining part of this (at least for me). So Ray Dalio was saying that there is a 25% chance of a recession in 2020, which I thought was interesting. There were some potential signs here and there, but this is a matter too complicated for me to be sure that I understand it correctly, so I didn't put much thought into it. But then a black swan event makes its way into the picture. And suddenly the image gets clearer. The markets are getting rekt. I think we had like 3 limit breakers hit in the last week or so. Today it hit in the first minutes of trading hours lol, and that considering that Sunday a wild FED cut rates to zero and launches a $700B "quantitative easing program".

The working definition of a recession is 2 consecutive negative quarters, so we aren't officially in a recession yet. But let's be honest. What they gonna do next? Lower the interest rates? Oh wait...
Well, I guess they can always do negative interest rates. That doesn't reek of desperation at all.

So we'll see how this all plays out. Can't deny it though that this is highly entertaining (regarding the economy) and I'm learning a lot.

On the grand scheme of things the most important asset you have is your health, so protect it with your life.
Hopefully the sun will start shinning pretty soon and the virus will be contained rather sooner than later.
We'll see how everything develops.

PS: feedback on writing is welcomed and highly appreciated. I've been getting insecure about my syntax and grammar in english as I keep postponing reading the book that tackles this matter, and might not be aware of mistakes that I keep making over and over gain.

Best of wishes during this time and take care.

So much bullshit in this "industry"...

Spoiler

Big brain time. Imagine some kind of affiliate marketing agreement where contractually the payment is supposed to occur for a certain "volume", but there is a clause that states that you can break the contract whenever you want with the person that's supposed to receive the payments.
Gentlemen, let me introduce to you Smart Spin.
If you didn't heard about them. Let me do a summary for you: it's a pretty shitty "company".

The more indignation I muster, the more involved I will become in the war against injustice.
I've chosen my path in life.
It's war.

Hey man. Not sure what you are interested in.

I'm doing just about everything I believe to be of "value" to my life.
That means from reading a shit ton of books to doing various courses, studying different areas of interest, and researching the internet, as it is one of the most beautiful inventions of humans, computers coming really close.

I think people underestimate the value computers and internet can bring to a human. To me these two are starting to become an extension of me. And I don't mean staying on social media all day or other prevalent ways people use these two technologies, don't even start me on that.
But I digress, basically they are becoming part of me. they become part of "my mind" as I see it.

It's funny really. Smart dudes before us thought it would be wonderful if one could "store" and "retrieve" knowledge as efficiently as possible. They devised different conceptual tools for this. Perfected it. Not to mention the work they had to do acquire the knowledge. All anachronisms at this point I would argue, why?

Ask me anything. Absolutely anything.

Let's try together:
What is the smallest bird in the world?
Oh shit. I'm no... uhm... Is it ornitology? I am not quite sure. Let me verify real fast:

Spoiler

a person who study birds...

Yep, looks about right. I'm no ornithologist so I can't possibly know this. I would assume not even all the ornithologists know this off the top of their head.
And yet a few seconds later I know it.
It's a bee hummingbird

And this only scratches the surface of what a synergy between mind, PC, and internet can become.

Here is a photo from my personal "stash" that depicts visually what I'm saying.

Spoiler

So we are honestly living the dream. And it will get only better from here.

I'm pressed by time so I will give you some places from where you can start some of your own "research" if you are interested in this type of stuff.

mind mapping
tools as an extension of oneself
the conceptual age
get better at using the browser
diffuse thinking
conceptualizing a pc as a mind palace, mind repository, knowledge hub, extension of your brain.
all roads lead to philosophy.
pc & internet as the ultimate mnemonics tool
developing your "map of the internet"

I guess I kept this entry rather focused on a specific subject. But I thought it would be cool to bring it up as I don't see many people talk about this stuff so it feels "new-ish" to most compared to the usual stuff.

But if you are interested in something specific, please do ask. I might have a perspective to offer. If not, then there is a decent chance your question will be the seed that will later grow into one.

And a cool thing I learned and keep reminding myself lately, just as with "Kaizen", if you remember that one, is:
Follow the vision!

Basically this is what I'm doing everyday. Just following the vision. The more I work the better I see it. And the better I see it the more I can work on it's details to make it more beautiful. I dunno, I'm kinda strange. But I love this. I'm truly happy doing this and I hope it never ends. So fuck everyone who don't want you to do you and work on that vision.
One day we gon' make it!

I was actually expecting you'd talk more about trading, poker, mindset, ... but your answer was actually much better as the suggested topics seem interesting and I haven't researched them at all. I'm focusing on poker now mostly so with all honesty won't be doing much research on it atm but will def keep it somewhere in my mind and dig into it when the time comes, which sure will.

One thing in regards to your answer that I was thinking a lot in the past tho was about how technology affects us... And if you're not a social media zombie wasting away, internet def is a good extension of ourselves imo as u pointed out but there are about three things that I came up with which imo we have to be careful with. I will list them just to give you maybe another point of view since we're on the topic, maybe they resonate with you maybe not.

1. With so much info on the web we have to understand that some big part of it will be totally untrue and an even bigger part will be half-truths, so we have to develop some kind of mechanism that allows us to differentiate between all of it, otherwise we're just repeating random shit that's on google and feeling smart. Even for the things like facts that you would think that there can be only one truth (like history, people descriptions, events, biology, etc.).

2. With so much info and interesting topics we can be quickly spread through so many things becoming jack of all trades and a master of none. Ofc it's great to know many things and be interested in various fields but often this takes away from our focused deep work which is essential to master things.

3. With all the benefits of technology it's easy to forget a) it's negatives b) that putting aside real things in order to make more space for technology also comes with a cost

I will give you some of my real life examples of the top of my head for the above points:

Well actually for the point #1 it would be too complicated and time consuming ... while point #2 is pretty obvious I only learned it to the point of where I no longer do it not too long ago. Point #3, besides the obvious distraction of deep work thing, as we spend more time on computers, even productive time, we often forget that we are missing out on some of the knowledge that can't be learned through computers. Hunting, fixing things, operating machinery, making connections with other people, ... things that don't seem as important but as less and less people know how to do them they become a lot more valuable and without them we are less and less human. Some of the other negatives I'd say are def the physical ones: poor eye sight, posture, EMF radiation, ... that in the long run def add up and while gym helps it doesn't cure and our gen has yet to see this negatives when we get to 70+ age.

Lastly in my experience every great invention has it's negatives and we have to realise them to make a good decision, in my case not long ago for example was really exited about doing the DNA test as it promises to tell you about various health predispositions you might have and the family tree, etc. all great and exciting. But unless you research fully you don't know that some of the results might be manipulated, some of your DNA data might be leaked and a lot of the data misinterpreted.

Anyhow, I like to use technology and stay on top of it but I also like to keep the knowledge of our grandparents alive as otherwise it's quickly forgotten and you become a keyboard warrior that can't do a thing in your own house, can't make connections past computer friends, and only believes the internet knowledge while disregarding some simple truths that have been around for centuries.

Not saying you're a keyboard warrior by any means, just giving my 2cents as I really was thinking about this in the past and as I look at my generation I'd like them to use less tech, not more, because it simply makes them dumb, tho we know it's not gonna happen... anyhow, gl with your journey forward, hope any of this gives u some ideas as ur post gave me some new ones

p.s. weird example but to showcase my point #1;

"And yet a few seconds later I know it.
It's a bee hummingbird"

This might be totally wrong, right? and you can't know without deep further research and talking to people. Like in this example doesn't matter but we tend to have the same approach to more important matters as well. Think about 2008, if you wrote/researched on google if housing market is in a bubble or banks overly in debt, you wouldn't get the clear picture by googling, you would get the total opposite idea as if everything is stable and booming. While only like 10 people knew the real truth, those that took the time to study each banks balance sheets on their own, think about the loans structure and how it relates to market, taking the time to evaluate the work of accrediting agencies, etc. What I am saying is there is no shortcut most of the time as google might make it seem. Maybe there are about 5 biologist in the world right now that aren't very present on the internet to show up in google results due to being too busy with their research that would tell you that what you wrote is totally wrong and that they have found 10 birds smaller than that and that this is 10 year old info. This is what I mean by people taking internet knowledge without proper filter and in most cases like I said doesn't matter but we do it for the bigger matters as well.
