Okay, we open a very important discussion: How to eat rice!
What do you have against rice with tomatoe sauce? It´s good!

Today, I ate a bowl of rice with tomatoe sauce.

We would never dare admit to being interested in anything in this thread.
If by tomato sauce you mean what we call "ketchup" then a world of "ewww", but if you mean something akin to marinara then it should be fine -- chez Vorpal we use rice instead of pasta for a lot of dishes -- even rice instead of egg noodles for stroganoff.
The very simple fact about tomato sauce is that it's just not that good in the complete absence of any meat.
And don't get me started on ketchup. I wouldn't even put this stuff on my schnitzel, and you know I'm open to a lot of things when it comes to that.

Some say that onigiri is the ultimate way to eat rice, but I can't comment on this as I have yet to get around to making any... and it's on my to-do list since the end of last year.
Other than that, just pick the right sort of rice, and you're good to go. Of course, if you have only tomato sauce to work with, there's not much you can do - but you could at least turn it into djuvec rice.

Previously, based on his Twitch bio, I assumed it stands for "Vorpal Swordsman", but I'm glad we now found out the real intended meaning behind it.
The Vorpal Swordsman is the protagonist of the nonsense poem "Jabberwocky" which is found in "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll.
It contains the line:
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought
The poem is full of nonsense words of Carroll's own invention. An explanation of many of them are in the Wikipedia article on the poem.
The entry on the word "vorpal" tells us little:
Vorpal: Carroll said he could not explain this word, though it has been noted that it can be formed by taking letters alternately from "verbal" and "gospel".[28]
I've always loved the poem, and even had it memorized when I was a kid. I should practice it up.
I was delighted to read this
from the wikipedia article linked above
According to Chesterton and Green and others, the original purpose of "Jabberwocky" was to satirise both pretentious verse and ignorant literary critics.
If that is true, then Carroll is truly a man after my own heart (or before since he died before I was born).
In school I truly hated being taught what a poem "meant" when it seemed so simple on the surface.
I ramble...
VS
I prefer rice over noodles a zillion times, but even more I prefer potatoes.
I like to eat rice just with a bit of butter and salt. It´s good. But of course I have nothing against a nice curry
I've never eaten flowers.
Actually, I just realized I have:
When I was a kid we used to eat the tails of the nasturtium flower, and we would suck the nectar from foxglove.
And figs are technically inverted flowers.

Good morning, trolls!
Interesting news: Drinking my coffee with almond milk today.
I used up the rest of my kroepoek crackers, which may or may not have been expired.
Unfortunately, my attempt to make stuffed burger patties for lunch went less than optimal.
Harrier, now, you gonna be very proud of me.
The fridge is pretty empty but we won´t go out in this heat (40°C) for grocery shopping. So, I looked into the freezer - and found some lean minced meat. But what else in addition??
At the end I decided to make a minced meat soup with mushrooms (which I still had in the freezer).
Was a very "original" soup but not bad. ♠_ugly:

Excellent soup recipe!
That's a very nice, original soup recipe! I replaced the minced meat with gravy and the soup with a schnitzel, and also added some fries on the side and a pint of beer, but it came out really nice! Will definitely make it again!
HOW can someone eat Schnitzel with mushroom gravy???
This is raping a poor innocent Schnitzel!

That sauce is too salty for my taste...
What can you say to someone who doesn't appreciate a good Jägerschnitzel... how about you do better? What are your toppings of choice?
