Thanks to the old German practice of 'being a jerk about copyright', even the works of Project Gutenberg are unfortunately not available.
I'd really like to check out CS Lewis some time, though. Mostly for his writings on philosophy/theology, less for his fiction, even though he wrote some really renowned works.
Also, the bible chapter he referenced in that quote, 1 Corinthians 13, is my number one favorite chapter in the entire bible.

This could be me!! This moment...when you open the fridge...and it stinks and you desperately try to find out ..... what on earth causes that bad smell. You search and search and eventually find a small piece of forgotten cheese somewhere well hidden in a corner. :facepalm::spit:

Thankfully, it didn't smell, and while the cheese was expired for a little over a month, it didn't even look bad from the outside. But considering that I still had another unopened package and I might be struggling to use that one up before it expires, I figured it's best to just cut my losses.
If anyone invents some kind of app that automatically tracks the expiry date of every bit of food you're buying and then gives you warnings when they get close to expiring, even I might be tempted to buy a smartphone.

Back in my university days, I once accidentally left a partially used head of lettuce in the fridge at my student's apartment before leaving for the winter holidays. When I returned, all that was left of it was some brownish liquid.
