Hi all

I started playing poker online in 2011 when I joined PS.com and back then they were offering $50 starting capitals for numerous sites. I really took poker serious back then and ran up my starting capital to a decent amount. I would go on to win pretty consistently in MTT's but never really stuck to building a bankroll and bad habits and withdrawals would leave me playing under rolled.

I got pretty busy with life and really only played once in awhile but when I did I tended to play bigger buy ins and often not in the right state of mind. Needless to say I began to lose alot and not really get any decent wins. I have never really been a big winner by any means but never really lost that much either. Poker was always a fun hobby where I could win some side money here and there

I decided recently, if I am going to continue to play, I need to start taking it serious again and avoid the many deposits I seem to be making on many different sites and then withdrawing small wins and not building a roll.

I came back here and seen Titan Poker was one of the few sites I haven't signed up for so thought I would give it a shot. I haven't made a deposit and have just been playing the $25 booster freerolls. I find these to be decent value tourneys when played at certain times as they can have around 18-25 players. I won a few and cashed in a few as well. I also cashed in a few micro MTT's and my current graph looks like this:

I have also played a few cash games but not much, however the graph for those are:

I am down 4 buy ins on NL2 which sucks . :f_o:

My plan is too not rush this and just take it slow and hopefully I can build a decent roll and not go busto.

I really am going to start from the basics and study alot of my older and more recent poker strategy books.

Since my account is also linked, I will revist and study newer strategy articles and videos on the site as much as I can.

Also hope to engage with the community more and post hands and get feedback along the way. The blog however is more of a way to just track my progress and try to improve as much as possible. After each session/game I will post as many hands and results as I can but also updating the blog with my progress as well.

I hope to actually stick with this blog this time and be consisten with studying and playing. I also have a life so have to work all that around as well ! lol

Wish me luck!

I have been meaning to update my blog but have been really sick the last week and busy with school before that it just got really difficult

I have been falling into some bad habits the past few weeks whenever I have sat down to play poker and as part of this blog I need to be upfront with myself to avoid these costly mistakes

My bank roll has dropped down to $112 now from the $188 it was at at my highest point so far in this challenge. I am pretty disappointed in myself but again I need to tighten up so mistakes both at the table and off.

Now that I am caught up with school and feeling better I have been studying more this week and will start analyzing hands more

I'm not going to put in much volume this month just continue with the freerolls until that promotion runs out and go from there

My Goals for June

- Continue studying the books I have. I have quite a library and haven't read them all yet

- Do not drink alcohol while playing poker. This is one of the aspects I need to be honest with myself about. Playing poker and drinking as turned into to activities that need to be done together and that just is not the way to go. This blog can serve us a higher purpose to help me stay focused and away from that.

- Post hands this week and month of my previous games to go over all my mistakes I am making

- Engage more and more with the poker community

- Try to update the blog more frequently

- Stay strictly to BRM!!! I played a few $3 rebuys and $5 tourneys before updating today which really took a lot out of my BR so I need to stick with this

Bankroll in June
$112

Will continue to play .50 and $1 MTT's. Going to stay away from cash games for a bit the NL2 just isn't very exciting to play ATM

Updated MTT graph. I have run into some pretty sick beats out there but most of the downswing is poor play and bad BRM

Updated Cash. I need to go through more hands but I lost a few buy ins one night playing NL5 and again that didn't help

Hello all!

I am updating this blog after quite some time. I just have to say from the start. HOLY SHIT time flies! lol

I have been quite busy with school lately and other life shit however I have still been playing poker. Unfortunately I have still been sticking to old habits

My bankroll has gone from $0, to $190, down to $20, back up to $255 and now sitting at $197

I have been playing out of BRM the entire time and I have ben quite lucky I have not went busto. My last $50 I played a $5 rebuy and got 4th place for around $200. This brought be back to take my challenge here a bit more seriously. I have lost $55+ since then, again playing out of BRM.

I will post my updated graph below

This is my MTT graph. I have started out great but then the first dip is because of poor BRM. I then hovered around a BR of $60-$100 for a bit until I played the recent $5 rebuy which it spikes up. This tournament has bothered me a bit because of my last shove in the hand. 1st place would have been a huge BR boost. I will post hands in the coming days

I lost $55 pretty much screwing around again however by updating this blog I am hoping to take this serious again. After all, I have $197 BR from a no deposit. So I just need to maintain study and get more engaged with PS.com. If any members have any tips …

Now on to the cash.... .. lol

Ok so here is where I need to devout more time to study. I am stacking off way to light. Perhaps not adjusting to playing bigger stack poker vs normal online MTT play.

I do need to adjust and study more in this area as it is a major loss of my BR

The goal in the next few weeks is to
1. Finish School strong
2. Study more poker when I have free time. I want to reduce the amount I am playing ATM. There is no rush in this.
3. Post hands. I need to start going through my database and posting hands for discussion

As of now

My bankroll is at $197.97

Ok its been a long time since updating

some things in my life:

I have finished schol now for the time being I wil be working lots of hours and completing my degree on the side. Anyway thats good news !!!lol

On the poker side, I have played about 50 ish tournaments since my last entry here

I have broken some great milestones in my $0 bankroll challenge

On August 13th I got two 1st place finishes and a 4th place one after that. It was a great night that brought my total bankroll to $530

Since then I have dropped down to $490 (Canadian currency)

I will post my graphs next:

I really have to try to update this more regularly and post hands. I am just so lazy I guess. But hopefully I can improve that

I am hoping to transfer my database to my desktop PC and stop playing on my laptop so much. Probably then I will get more involved with PS.com

Also cash games I need to really start doing better. I am just stacking off way to light in a lot of spots. Need to tighten a bit up and read on more cash strategy

currently bank roll is at $490

Here is another perspective of my progress so far by month. Hard to believe its been at 6 months already

Now that I have actually build up a decent amount I am expecting the next 6 months to be even better !

I can start to play less $0.50 and $1 MTT's and more $2, $3 and some $5. These are in euros however so with the exchange rate I shouldnt be going over $5.

If I can stick to that I shouldn't be busting this roll anytime soon

I am going to stick with NL4 on cash games for another 6,000 hands or so just to see if I can come up on the graph. If I start putting in lots of volume I should be able to do this in a few months . Also sticking to MTT's as they are my best games at the moment
