Well, mine was, certainly. I only played one time last night, and that was all I needed. Nice value for those 7 StarsCoins.

I did OK -- I had played 7 times for a total cost of 14 coin -- I got trips once, and all but one other time I had a pair.
So a return of $0.72/coin
10.14 is the second largest payout I've seen

Yeah talking of chests even tho the Deal is climbing slowly these new chests seem incredibly far apart and starcoins seem to be a very rare species , not encouraging me at my low levels to push to the next chest let alone the mystical next level .

That's true or you need to get a decent amount of SC to get money of it, but I doubt that's to interesting if you could invest it every 12 hours in this if the jackpot is high enough.
