Hi Everyone,

My name is Rita. ( I was an active member in the hungarian platform before) I would like to open a blog, so I can share some information about my game, hands, progress and my personal life.

Welcome on board!

I am hungarian (forgive me because of my English ) currently living in Sweden. My official proffesion is: cabin crew. Right now I am based in Stockholm Arlanda airport flying for SAS with CRJ-900.  My work scheduel is quiet hectic... I am flying 4-5 days out of base, staying overnight in hotels, then back to home 2-3 days.

My freetime other than poker I am working out, playing video games ( like cardgames or startegy games )

I have passion for poker for years. I started to play 10 years ago. Most of the time I played MTT's and Omaha, but not cash games. Now, here is the time to turn my hobby something bigger. I will play 6 max NLHoldem - Zoom. Starting from Nl2 since I dont have any tracking record back to that game. I have HM2 and I will play on PokerStars.se most of the time.

My starting bankroll is about 75$ (69 EUR) I try to play 2 tables, but we will see how it goes.

So as I use to say:

Sit back, relax and enjoy the flight! :spade::heart::diamond::club:

Hello Everyone,

First of all thx for the nice comments.

I just got back from a 5 days trip and looking forward my 2 days OFF. During those working days I could only study theory... ( I had maximum flight duty with minimum rest full of with medical emergencies...  So it took out a lot from me )

My weekly goal: Play 8 hours. I know its nothing, but slowly it will work.

September its still really busy month in aviation, winter will be easier in one way... but of course I am flying around Scandinavia...heavy snow, short runways...etc.

Hope tomorrow after I hit the tables I can show some hands to discuss.

Take care! :spade::heart::diamond::club:

Im still so happy about yesterday. So today I started my day full of motivation. However I made a mistake... I sit in the wrong table (NL5)...but...it turned out good in the end...
First of all I would like to summeries about my feeling in that level:

i played more serious and focused
betsize was better i could put pressure to the others, specially when i doubled my buying
like it more than NL2 ( I know its not an excuse... )

I had breaks after I 3X my buy-in or I lost 1 buy-in.

4.5 hours ( with breaks and little stopt because marking hands, notes..etc)
410 hands - 1 table

Welcome to blogging. Few opinions on hands you posted:

99: 3bet pre and sizing are ok but you should fold to 4bet unless having some maniac reads on villain. In general villain range will be like AK, TT+ so you are screwed usually.

KK: Personally I would prefer bigger open raise size in general with deeper stacks. Flop and turn I would bet bit smaller as default and check river. If you want to get thin value versus Qx use lot weaker sizing and fold to raise. But I would be happy to check river after two big bets.

AQo: 3bet fine pre but use bigger size like 3xopen raise. Flop is dry so I would cbet smaller and usually just call versus his raise to keep his range wider. Also Qh is nice protection versus board runs so heart is not quite as bad.

43s: Snap fold pre. You should play extremely tight range facing 3bet and being oop. Cold calling 3bets oop just won't make money in long run. Some people would only 4bet or fold. As played once you get miracle flop check to allow them to cbet and not force them to have good hand to give action.

If you don't want feedback then I will keep my mouth shut but I got feeling you want to improve in poker.

Thank you ghaleon  I do want feedbacks, really happy to any advice and comments. And of course I try to adapt it next time.

Since this game format is totally new for me, Im learning from the beginning.

After two long days Im back, and done a 1 hour session only - which went well.

Here is my Hand of the Day:

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): $16.06 (321.2 bb)
BB: $2.75 (55 bb)
UTG: $6.95 (139 bb)
MP: $9.74 (194.8 bb)
CO: $4.34 (86.8 bb)
BTN: $8.35 (167 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A♦: K♠:
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.17, Hero raises to $0.56, BB folds, BTN calls $0.39

Flop: ($1.17) 9♦: A♠: 6♠: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.97, BTN calls $0.97

Turn: ($3.11) 2♣: (2 players)
Hero bets $2.59, BTN calls $2.59

River: ($8.29) 5♣: (2 players)
Hero bets $11.94 and is all-in, BTN calls $4.23

Results:

Spoiler

$16.75 pot ($0.70 rake)
Final Board: 9♦: A♠: 6♠: 2♣: 5♣:
Hero showed A♦: K♠: and won $16.05 ($7.70 net)
BTN showed A♣: Q♦: and lost (-$8.35 net)

I hope that I can play tomorrow more. Since Im playing only 1 table its a bit slow regarding the number of the played hands.

Oh... one quick quiestion? Are you recommending to play the run it twice option?

I do recommend it, I use it.

Good question, though. I’m interested in others opinions.

Well played AK otherwise but I would use smaller bet sizes. E.g. 0.6 on flop and pot is 2.37 on turn. Turn bet of 1.7 and river pot is 5.77 and then shove for remaining 5.4. That way villain will have harder time on every street on what he wants to do with different part of his range.

When you bet almost pot on flop on relatively dry flop villain can fold basically most hands weaker than Ax straight away. On turn villain should already decide whatever he stacks off or not as there only half pot remaining for river.

Run it twice will decrease variance so there is not really any harm to use it.

Hello, good luck with your journey (....all of them!! ). Little question - did you have any read about calling tendencies of villain with the last AK hand? TPTK seems very optimistic to me with such huge overbet on river. I would be interested in you thought process... eg. it gives sence to me when the villain is calling too much and you want to represent bluff with missed spades so he will be tempted to bluffcatch. But as far as I know NL5 this move is usually met by villain calling better hand than TPTK.

Effective stack was only half pot.

Oh my bad. It is more ok then. Still think the hand is played too aggressively.

Hi, Kosztirita!
We haven't heard from you for quite a while. How are you doing? Where do you fly? How is the beginning of the new year?
