Basically, I'm an idiot for being on auto pilot. The flop is more than suspect. The checking around and then the dime bet and calls on the TURN should tell me at minimum someone def has a KING. Of course the site tosses me a sucker card on the river and when I bet out and opponent re pots it putting me all in I cursed the site as I knew he had quads , yet I call ??? Fk me !

Moved your hand to our hand discussion forum. There fits it better.

Weird sizing on the turn. Not sure why you betting only 10c. After the ace on the river you only lose against KK and is calling fine I think.

Cheers,

I bet 1/3rd on flop, as played on turn 1/3rd.
river is super interesting: you block all straights and therefore only trips+ seem to call another riverbet (when you sized flop or turn bigger) and because I want trips to call I would bet half potsize on river. as you again bet low on river you have to call here, i even think about reraising the river but it will be hard for villains to call an underfull but not impossible and it is plo10 so if villains is not a thinking reg i think as played you have to reraise river.

Like I said boys. The flop checks and then both opponents calling the ten cent bets on Turn ...is deceptive. Like I said, someone is playing possum. Had I been able to check call the river I would have saved myself money but only Quads beats me and when he re pots me huge like that ...it's soooo obvious and I knew it but couldn't seem to lay it down + the additional fact that I had just busted him for 5 bucks I think the hand right before. This is another reason that his Re pot could also be TILT/Anger. A river check is next to impossible with the nut boat ( again, only losing to Quads ) but had I done that he could have only potted small and I could have called saving money but not likely.

Let me ask you guys do any of you see a way to have gotten away from this hand ? If I pot on flop we would have had one fold and most likely one call from Quad boy. Then if I check on Turn he would check back. Then when the Ace hits on river ....even if I check he pops it and of course I call.

Talk to me boys !

whatever, man. yes, his line is very suspicious, and maybe his range is indeed precisely quads only, but sometimes you just have to suck it.
in the end, i'd also get stacked, but i wouldn't think much about it. this spot is so rare, it's definitely not going to make or break your poker career.

i have done - and still do - some real fucking dumb shit, and yet i am still a solid winner:

I doubt that. In every game format you have enough fish.

yes, it's fine - i have never thought i was in any real danger of not beating the games.
but you should not believe me, i am a junkie and have had a few times going well over a million hands without playing a reg table hand. if the rumours are true, maybe i could double my winrate by playing reg tables, but probably not.

The only way is that you need to play reg tables. Off course it will go a lot slower than with ZOOM poker. Especially if you can only play 4 tables.

Agree. You might bet 20-35% pot to protect against multiple random crap maybe we can fold out weak trips, as we have the straight blockers and we can barrel the river small to rep it. The dime bet ott mathematically equals checking, but against wide ranges I would try to stab, decent FE here. I would not bet the flop though as we have showdownvalue, might catch up to a better hand and to potcontrol.

it will be hard for villains to call an underfull but not impossible and it is plo10 so if villains is not a thinking reg i think as played you have to reraise river.

I also think an underfull would not be folding anymore so reraising allin on the river is better.

Only slower in terms of how fast you get the card dealt, not slower in terms of winning money.

I, totally focused, played 40k hands in a month 2-tabling at PLO5 Zoom stars. 3bb/100 earned me 60$.

I, beside watching TV, played 25k hands next month 3-tabling at PLO5 at a local weak site. 40bb/100 earned me 430$.

Dude this is NL-Holdem.

i know, but this is in reality mostly a thread about mindset, and i'm out of omaha examples.
hero also didn't play this hand that well, but it's clear that he's mostly frustrated over not being able to make a sick soulread.

does being able to make these soul reads matter? no, it does not.
there are always real strategy issues and blunders that you can focus on.

I strongly agree.

btw. I think in PLO it is even harder to make soulreads. But I've seen those hand reviews where the coach tells to fold top-full and villain indeed shows quads. But not for us. You need like 5 years experience crushin mid-stakes I guess.

If we forget that 10c bet on the turn, the hand is played fine. I wouldn't bet the flop, and I wouldn't bet the turn. River around 100bb deep is no-can-do situation. Don't start to make hero folds there at PLO10.
