When to bluff ? This question will always have a ton of differnt opinions with some that disagree or agree or like the desired name bluff which is reason of this option .
Honestly it’s a great topic it is a never ending answer or is it ?.

Have you bluffed before ? 99.9 percent had bluffed before 100%
Even if it wasn’t poker related. But back to poker will we ever know? Lol which goes back to the name bluff it’s the reason it’s called and means what it does today .

I’m new to this and I am a gaming celebrity for igg and I am only expressing my thoughts to the word bluff why?
Well at one point everyone has thought of this question even if they think they know and they might !
Mainly speaking I think as cheaper the buyin to even free money it’s a fact that it mostly occurs in them games .
But really it happens in any buy in but not as rapidly as players learning or just don’t get the game of poker but anyone can play poker ?
Not quite players that play daily could even still have never won a tournament or even qualifyed for a chance for something big or nothing at all .
I will say I qualified to the part where I had to Make a video audition for a big game many years ago as there was 4 tob5 stages making the first stage is easy and yes this was a free buy in and a chance to be at a pro table

Anyways these questions and some of my thoughts will be your thoughts and maybe you will have a. Topic and a answer or question .
Poker is a art
Art is a gift
Together is a skill goodluck and have fun

To over-simplify, bluff when you think you can get a better hand to fold.

You might also bluff just so opponents can see that you can bluff -- then you might get paid off when you have the nuts

It's also depends what kind of villain you dealing with if you can profitable bluff or not. If they never fold a bluff isn't smart.

"Why to bluff?" Indifference&unexploitable
"When to bluff?" not good question, the right one is "Which hands to bluff with?"

"When to bluff?" is an easy question. Answer is whenever you have enough fold equity (=how often opponent folds). To make it a little complicated, you could add also when you think the bluff is -EV in the spot but will be +EV for the future (= creating a certain imago on the table).

Then the next question is "when do I have enough fold equity?", and to answer that you need some mathematical skills and some range definition skills. Then comes the third question "what hands should I bluff here?" which adds another layer to your decision making. Sometimes you might bluff even 100% of your non-value hands, sometimes you want to have blockers to certain things etc.

I remember when I was starting poker. I bought two books, Mike Caro's book of Poker Tells and then another one which was about bluffing. I thought bluffing is something mythical, that you could learn to do. Just like Jamie Gold said in High Stakes Poker when he announced that he wants to be the world's greatest bluffer. Now as years have passed, I've realized that bluffing is just mathematics and one way to win a pot.

And everyone has bluffed. As just making a continuation bet on the flop without a strong value hand is a bluff.
