I'd like to know more about how to identify when opponents are bluffing, and also when to identify a good spot to bluff ourselves.

After watching Phil Galfond and VeniVidi go at it, I'm more confused than I ever was.
They play -- and play aggressively -- hands that are in my "Are you out of your freakin' mind!?" range.

Well, they play aggressive HU. There the ranges are quite wide. And if valuerange is wider, then bluffing range has to be wider too.

Half a year ago we talked about blockers. We could continue that topic, as it is quite relevant to bluffing.
