At plo10 it is soft, but I would say alot more aggressive tham elsewhere. And plo10 is the lowest stake.

PLO-fun on Unibet

So! Finally! Was about time to pick up four cards, guys. As I told, cleared a nice rakeback on Titan so, took 200 $ and now put it on Unibet. Let the PLO-fun begin! Played PLO4 and PLO10 and got some pretty hands and two nasty coolers but altogether could make about +11 €.

I have to admit that at the beginning of my session I played bad. Was card-dead, missed the flops and then I felt the urge to play at least something! Of course I instantly misplayed about 3 hands, made calls which I shouldn´t. So at the beginning I lost about 1 stack.

Find out that violence (aggression) can indeed be a good solution :sifflote:. Tried out some bluffs with blockers and find out that they also work in PLO :sifflote:

Here I hit the nuts and get fully paid:

Prim catches a big bluff:

Lovely river - that´s what we wanna see with acies:

Could also pick up small pots with bluffs.

MTT evening with a little PLO-fun

Saturday is MTT day! Wanted to pick up four cards too, so played the 50ct rebuy (+50ct Add-on) Omaha Sputnik on Unibet. Things went pretty smooth at the beginning and I could get some good hands:

The quads unfortunately didn´t get payed, but this one:

Raised pot pf and got it in with my combo-draw on flop:

But afterwards I was totally card-dead, just junk-hands and missed flops.

Got it in pf as short stack with K♠ 3♠ K♠ 5♥ and flopped a set - lost the hand vs runner-runner str8. Villain had called with 79QJ and got runner-runner str8.

Nice PLO-session on Unibet

....with one huge fish play  but the rest went fine I think. Played PLO4 on Unibet and got a couple of nice hands which were payed more or less well. At the beginning me whale left a stack on a naked straight draw (glad that it wasn´t a Primrose-phantom-str8) but then I got into it and played patiently and mostly for value. Could make some nice bluffs with blockers though but not many. There were a lot of call-happy people at the tables, so the strategy was wait patiently for a decent hand and value bet.

Here´s one of the pretty hands:

Ended the session with about 2 stacks up: + 7 or 8 €. :f_love:

When I previously played on PLO4 it was ton of limping and calling pre. Also quite a few played short stack which can make it bit awkward when they happen to 3bet as implied is lower.

Not much held up today...

..but no prob cause the tourneys I played were for free. For the 1$ Omaha 6max I had a ticket and the other one on Unibet was a freeroll where you can win cash game tickets (those I really want!). My 1$ Omaha on 888 started actually pretty promising:

Okay, great. So here we got again! ....Well not exactly cause afterwards I was card dead/flops sucked.

Beeing shortstack I was very happy to pick up a double suited double pair and get it in:

Alright, equity was only 61 % but ..... would have been nice if this hand could have made it, right?

...and out I was ...

In the freeroll the same. Things started very nicely:

...until I lost A♥ T♠ Q♣ J♥ vs A♠ 6♦ 9♠ 9♦

Won´t play more cause not healthy yet but had some PLO-fun while lying sick in bed :f_love:

I think I´m getting better ... ?

Played a nice little PLO-session on Unibet and iPoker. Besides two total fish plays I think I´m getting a bit better already (and from Monday on I will get much better!). On iPoker the PLO4 tables were full so decided to play some PLO10. Was lucky to see that the PLO10 tables were super soft, some of Villains I had already marked as "gamblers" (or as Kyyberi would say: "good customers"). So sat down and played a bit.

After a while this nice little hand happened (read/note: Villain is very loose and jams with any two pair, any draw and TPTK)

This little hand versus super-aggro recreational player was also pretty:

Hero bets 9.6 BB, UTG calls 9.6 BB

UTG shows J♥ Q♦ 5♥ 3♥ (Two Pair, Queens and Nines)

Hero shows 9♣ 4♣ 9♦ J♦ (Four of a Kind, Nines)
(Pre 57%, Flop 18%, Turn 80%)
Hero wins 26.9 BB

On Unibet, not much happened unless I made a HUGE fish play and lost a stack. The rest were mini ups and downs in money, nothing special.

Eventually I could take one more stack in PLO10 on iPoker, took about another stack in PLO4 and ended up with +15€.

Would just pot that turn in 949J hand. Practical nuts, drawy board and 4way pot. Plus pot is small and we need to make it bigger. Anyway let's see what tomorrow brings :)

The nightmare before Christmas

I´m not talking about poker, I´m talking about work. That moment: when you set your schedule, try to get everything ready, your schedule fits perfectly so that you can go on vacation in time and then: they come! From everywhere! The "good costumers"! Everybody wants even more stuff done before Christmas. They are in panic! They want some additional stuff before Christmas. They don´t care about holidays.

The costumers from hell! :rage:

Anyway, proceeding well and working hard on getting everything done just in time so that I can go on vacation. This means: high work load! Won´t be able to play today, but probably tomorrow. Gotta get all that stuff done first.

Hey, I like that!

Had my first very good lesson with our PLO-coaching group and studied the starting hand ranges. Managed to download the software required :sifflote: and started to make a little list. Memorized some starting hand ranges and hit the PLO tables on iPoker and Unibet today (mainly on Unibet). My todays session was a kind of a rollercoaster full of action! It was really so much fun and I start to like PLO more and more  I like that game, but got so many things to learn. Anyway, played PLO4. Well, guess that´s a pretty normal PLO-session: lost two stacks on not making combo-draws, then won 3 stacks with FH, bluffed away almost one stack (was a very bad bluff!) :sifflote:, waited patiently, applied a lot of aggression, waited for the BIG hands to stack off, stacked off with something, on the other table lost a stack ...etc ..... The mental game goes surprisingly well :f_o: :f_o: :f_o: :f_o: I have no idea why?? :f_o: :f_o: :f_o: Maybe because I already know from the beginning that PLO is super-variance-heavy and there´s a lot of 60:40 decisions and flips? Don´t know. That´s the reason why I do not look at my BR during the session and actually, I just take a look at the end of the session and only for this blog, otherwise I wouldn´t look at all, maybe all 3 months or so?

Anyway, here´s a very nice hand which got fully payed:

This one´s pretty too:

iPoker - €0.04 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players

SB shows K♦ 5♠ 6♣ Q♠ (High Card, King)

Main Pot [79.5 BB]: (Pre 26%, Flop 30%, Turn 0%)
Side Pot#1 [53 BB]: (Pre 47%, Flop 40%, Turn 0%)

Hero shows 7♦ T♠ 9♦ 9♠ (Straight, Jack High)

Main Pot [79.5 BB]: (Pre 32%, Flop 42%, Turn 100%)
Side Pot#1 [53 BB]: (Pre 53%, Flop 60%, Turn 100%)

Hero wins 123.75 BB

Besides the "pretty" hands of course I got some hands to ask in the analysis forum. So everybody who would like to help me: I post some hands in the Omaha hands discussion section.

At the end I came out with a little profit of +6€, so 1,5 stacks up.

I could have won more ...

if I hadn´t donked off two stacks  The first stack I donk off with naked acies versus maniac, I bet flop, he raises and whale-me gets it in. Well done, Prim! The other one I donk off with top set on a draw-heavy board totally overestimating my FH-outs and looked into a flopped str8 (which I already could have smelled on that wet flop!). Yeah, getting it in and hoping the board pairs, alright! Those are the rotten eggs of the day.

But the good news are: Came out with a winning anyway! 1,5 stacks up, +6€. That´s okay. And next time I learn to let go some hands on the flop. :f_ugly: In another hand I get it in with middle set and str8-blocker but get lucky by hitting runner runner flush:

As I hold a blocker I thought str8 is unlikely, further, I block the 666-set.

This little hand was pretty nice:

Besides, I did a bit of study and practiced the starting hands. I think I got now a way better "feeling" for what you can play and what not. I got definitely better at PLO. :f_love: :f_love: :f_love: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup:

Proud of myself today! _cool:

My todays PLO4-session on Unibet startet really "great": 5 stacks goodbye! _o: Flopped a flush, wanted to get it in and what happens on turn? Board pairs! Thank you very much. _ugly: Then ran with a made-str8 and nutflush-draw into a higher str8, bye bye stack! Flopped one of those "famous" wraps, get it in, so many outs, nothing comes, instead whale who got it in with one pair-hand gets two pair on river. Woohooo! Then lost AAK9ss vs AA49r. Alright! Not a good start, right?

Surprisingly, stayed calm. Well then, continued my session as usual and after a while got some very nice hands which got fully payed. I stayed focussed, concentrated and (very surprisingly!!!) confident! _o: I am really proud of that today. Further, my knowledge of the starting hand ranges got better, learning the 3-bet and defense-ranges, which I also could apply today at the tables.

My session was full of action and also fun, played until I got tired and another surprise: I came out with about 1/4 stack down only: -1,30 €.

I think I did well today! _love:

Got now everything to get into it!

Kyyberis Christmas stream was awesome and won very nice prices - everything to get into PLO-CGs!

Won a month free for PLO Visions, a little 10€ "BR" on RIO and a lucky teddy who was kindly donated to me by user "off-the-bar" (Thank you very much!  ). So next year, when I will focus more on PLO (the traffic on SNGs is constantly decreasing and there´s so much more profit in PLO), I will have everything I need to learn crushing PLO! :f_love: :f_love: :f_love: :f_love:
